Customer says Columbus-area concrete company did shoddy work
I hired Kingdom Concrete in Carroll, Ohio, to do a stamped overlay on my concrete driveway. The project was three weeks behind schedule, and they wanted to be paid in cash to avoid paying taxes. They ground down the existing concrete, applied an overlay product, stamped it and colored it. One of the employees had never done this kind of work before.
The product looked great for a few weeks, then started cracking and flaking away, all related to the fact they didn’t install it correctly. They were supposed to put caulk in the joint of the existing concrete to prevent this, according to my research.
I’ve made 20 phone calls, sent more than 30 text messages, and never get a response. I’ve given them several opportunities to communicate with me and make things right. I would like them to redo the entire project, and do it correctly this time.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
