Custom cabinetry install requires follow-up fixes, member says
I hired Chesser Management of San Antonio to install cabinet doors and drawers and build a custom pantry. They also took out the granite island, sanded it and put panels on it.
They were awesome. They gave me a contract with a quote. They stood by their word. They subcontracted other people to help us. They do carpentry, and I wanted them to do a pull-down bed, but they found one online that was a lot cheaper.
One of the owners gave me all the information and I was able to get a 10 percent military discount. It’s beautiful and just what I wanted.
After they finished the kitchen project, they were supposed to fix some things that were wrong. The doors were improperly installed. They had missing screws, the hinges don’t work, some of the soft-close drawer closures don’t work either, and the cabinet doors are missing screws.
I’ve left messages for them to come out, and they won’t return my phone calls. I even asked them to tell me where they bought all of this so I could fix it myself, but I can’t reach them. I want them to fix the mistakes.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
