Contractor paves driveway with wrong asphalt color, homeowner says
I hired Advanced Paving & Masonry of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, to pave my asphalt driveway. I requested the company add a brownish-red driveway stone color to the asphalt.
The owner said he could do this and that he was doing the same color for another driveway. He said he would pick up the asphalt for both jobs at the same time.
He arrived to work unexpectedly and without prior notification. During the installation, I noticed that the driveway looked very black. The owner explained that it would take six to 12 months for the surface to wear and see the brown rocks.
Also, from the outset, the completed driveway has visible white stone. I’ve emailed, called and left messages to request that he inspect the job and do what it takes to correct it.
I’ve received no response. They also didn’t honor a 20 percent discount coupon.
I want a $3,200 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
