Contractor Covers House with Cement Siding

Highly rated RenovateRepair.com of Cary, North Carolina, gave Angie’s List member David W. an early Christmas present by re-siding his home right before the holiday. The Chapel Hill, North Carolina, member chose to cover existing plywood siding with HardiePlank fiber cement siding.

Before starting the job, owners George and Susan Prenatt provided David with a list of references. The positive comments played a role in David choosing to hire the company.

Upon beginning the project, RepairRenovate.com brought the necessary equipment, another good sign that David hired the right company for the job.

“Our home is very tall and they came prepared with proper equipment, including scaffolding and safety equipment,” David says in his review. “The precision in board cuts and trim illustrated the crew’s skill and attention to detail.”

RenovateRepair.com’s work ethic and attention to detail impressed David, who says he’s hard to please. HardiePlank siding produces a large amount of dust. The crew greatly reduced potential for dust to enter the home by keeping mats at doors and cleaning them daily. Crew members also re-installed gutters, light fixtures and outlets, and expertly painted and caulked the home.

“In my opinion, the finished project appears to have been installed by craftsmen instead of just siding contractors,” David says.

They finished the project in about two weeks, and George and the project foreman were readily available whenever David needed.

“This project was the best improvement I made to my home, hands down!” David exclaimed.
