Consumer says Woodbury tree service left him stumped
I hired A & M Tree Service of Woodbury, Tennessee, to remove four trees and grind three stumps. They removed the three trees in the front yard on the first day, and they returned the second day to cut the final tree. By the time they finished cutting the tree, there was a slight rain.
They said they would be back to grind and remove the stumps in the front yard. They wanted to go ahead and get paid for the service. On the day they were supposed to return, I called and left a message. Mark Barrett, owner, returned our call and said they were getting equipment.
He said they’d be there to finish the job around noon. By 2:30 p.m. he had never showed up, and they will not respond to any calls.
They basically took money for a service that they did not provide. I want a $400 refund or the company to complete the work.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
