Consumer says Virginia Beach studio’s family photos were disappointing
I hired Sassy Snapz Photography Studio of Virginia Beach for a family photography shoot at Virginia Beach. I had reservations about outdoor photos, but owner and photographer Saskia Colonna assured me she could edit any discrepancies in the photos.
During the viewing, I chose a package that cost more than $500. I signed the receipt, basing the selected photos off the images on the computer. When the photos arrived approximately two weeks later, I was disappointed. The photos looked dark and gloomy, and although my daughter is a darker complexion, the photos made her look too dark.
I explained my dissatisfaction. Saskia offered to reprint the photos at $10 per photo, which I thought was wrong. I asked about a refund, and she said there were no refunds. I wasn’t made aware of this.
I made reprints at another shop, and those came out much lighter. I sent her a side-by-side comparison, but she insisted nothing was wrong.
I want a refund of $530. I will agree to 25 percent off the purchase price if she agrees to reprint all the photos. My last offer is to receive a refund for half the purchase price, and I will make reprints.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
