Consumer says Ontario TV repair shop lost her Sony TV

Member complaint

I took my 46-inch Sony TV to John’s TV of Ontario, California, for repair.

I went in to pick up the TV, and the owner said he lost it. He then said my son came and picked up the TV. I still had the receipt, so there was no way my son picked it up.

He gave me a check for $300 for the lost TV, but the bank won’t cash it because it’s more than a year old.

I want a new TV that is comparable to the original.
