Consumer says Nashville company never finished patio construction

Member complaint

I hired All Seasons Sunrooms of Nashville, Tennessee, to build an extended patio and pergola. It is not a difficult job, and it shouldn’t have taken over a year. It should have taken four months at the most. In the meantime, they completed jobs on two homes in my neighborhood in less than a year.

They said they would finalize the work and pick up the check. I was going to be away that afternoon, so I told them they could come the next day for the check. I clearly stated I would be happy to pay the final payment when the job was completed. I have not heard from them.

I emailed them, but the message did not go through. They threatened to put a lien on my house for the final payment via email. They have more than two-thirds of their payment. There is always an excuse on why they can’t do the job. I’ve asked for my money back, but they aren’t going to comply. I want them to complete the work.

Have a complaint?

Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
