Consumer says Mission Viejo wood fence contractor performed shoddy work
We hired California Fence Company of Mission Viejo, California, to install wood fencing around our air conditioning units, and we paid upfront. After the fence installation, they said it needed to set for about a week before they could stain the wood to match the rest of our house.
When they came back a couple of weeks later, the stain didn’t match, even though my husband gave them the name and brand of the stain already on our house. They said they would be back in a few days, and they never came back again!
We left messages with a secretary and many messages and texts to an employee, who answered us once. He made an appointment, but never showed up or bothered to call! After months of being left in the cold and humidity, the untreated wood started to warp and screws were popping out of joints.
We had to pay for someone else to fix and finish the job that we already paid California Fence Company to do. We want to be reimbursed $750 to cover the cost of hiring another company.
