Consumer receives refund for Cincinnati furniture store warranty
We purchased a warranty for new furniture from Ashley Furniture Homestore’s Springdale location in Cincinnati. However, the salesperson didn’t explain that damage caused by moving or damage by a pet voids the warranty, and the warranty company declined to repair the damage done by our granddaughter’s cats.
We wouldn’t have purchased this warranty if we knew about this. We would like the furniture replaced or our money back for the purchase price and the cost of the warranty plus taxes.
Tom and Betty Adrian, Cincinnati
We are sympathetic to our customer’s concerns and apologize that the extended warranty coverage didn’t meet their expectations.
Kathy Walker, guest relations manager
Editor’s note: The company refunded the warranty cost to the member.
Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
