Consumer accuses Dawsonville contractor of shoddy work
We hired Chandler Roofing & Remodeling from Dawsonville, Georgia, to install new gutters and remove the insulation and plastic from under the house because it was wet and moldy. We also had them re-stabilize support beams under our home.
The only thing the owner has been really good at so far is asking for money and giving excuse after excuse for not getting the work done. We paid him $6,000 so far, but he hasn’t completed any of the work to the standards we agreed upon.
He did attempt to install new gutters, but they are not level. He pulled the insulation out from under the house, but has not done any work on the support beams.
This is my mother’s home, and she is elderly, and I care for needs like this for her.
The work they finished is unsatisfactory and the mess in the backyard of molded and mildewed insulation is a hazard. The gutters are uneven and they nailed them to our siding with a sloppy clear caulk. We have pictures and do not want this company in business.
I want a refund of $6,000 because the company hasn’t completed the work, including replacing the gutters, insulation and support beams under the house. The work that has been done was not done correctly, so I will need to hire someone else to redo and complete the job.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
