Company addresses homeowner's concerns over cracked sidewalk
I hired Wilson Concrete & Construction in Independence, Missouri, to replace a driveway and some sidewalk. The company showed up on time, used top-shelf materials and was very respectful of the property. The driveway looks fantastic. But I noticed an abnormally large crack covering the entire width of the sidewalk a few months after they completed the work. I notified the provider several times. He finally agreed to inspect it. On inspection, he said we would be best to see what happened to it over the winter. I agreed.
The crack grew much worse, and the cement is literally peeling away. I sent updated photos and asked that he replace the section. I received no reply to my request. I’ve since asked him again two times and given ample time for him to respond. Still nothing. The driveway concrete is now pitting in several locations as well.
I want Wilson Concrete & Construction to replace the sidewalk section. If the pitting on the driveway is a sign of a serious issue, I want it replaced as well.

I am meeting with member to look at it again. I already had him on my schedule to replace the section of sidewalk.
Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
