What services do you offer?
Colvin-Tener: "Errands, deliveries, pet-sitting, dog-walking, residential cleaning, housesitting — pretty much anything anyone needs to have done."
Abelman: "Cleaning; housekeeping; senior, companion and personal care; handyman and maintenance repairs; yard care; and relocation services."
Wilkoff Friedman: "Running errands, grocery shopping, gift shopping, scheduling appointments, waiting for service people in homes, and taking cars for service."
What is your most popular service?
Colvin-Tener: "Residential cleaning and errands. This seems to be what people need most."
Abelman:"Our home care, because we can do laundry, cleaning and meal prep at the same time as senior care."
Wilkoff Friedman: "Either taking a car in for service or arranging and waiting for service people in the client's home."
Are there any errands you won't do?
Colvin-Tener: "I'll consider anything within reason."
Abelman: "No. We do it all."
Wilkoff Friedman: "We won't do anything illegal, immoral, unethical or that would put my employees in danger."
Do you give estimates?
Colvin-Tener: "Yes, I give free estimates."
Abelman: "Yes, we offer free estimates."
Wilkoff Friedman: "Yes, we give free estimates."
How do you charge?
Colvin-Tener: "I charge an hourly rate, starting at $20 per hour. I don't charge mileage, and I supply all supplies."
Abelman: "Handyman work is by bid. Home care has an hourly fee of $18.95 to $19.95 — more hours means a lower rate. Yard care usually runs $30 an hour. The mileage fee is the current IRS mileage reimbursement rate."
Wilkoff Friedman: "We charge $32 per hour. There's a one-hour minimum, and then we charge by the quarter-hour. We charge for mileage if the errand exceeds 30 miles, and we use federal guidelines for mileage reimbursement."
Do you offer gift certificates for your service?
Abelman: "Yes, and coupons."
Wilkoff Friedman: "Yes."
What makes you stand out from other errand service companies?
Colvin-Tener: "I offer the most personalized service. I'll do pretty much anything for my clients, and they're happy to have me to ease their load."
Abelman: "We have an all- inclusive approach to home services, and we can partner with other services, like skilled nursing and home health agencies."
Wilkoff Friedman: "Our reputation of 'getting it done' for our clients."
