Client gives no kudos to Kulas Maids
COMPLAINT: Dawn Myer, Northbrook, Ill.
"I've used Kulas Maids Inc. for several years, but their service has gone downhill. Their most recent job was the last straw. Once again, I had four people who've never been here before.
"Management says at least one member of the crew will speak English, but it's usually minimal. Recently, I gave them specific instructions, and they were ignored, because I think she didn't understand a word I said.
"They're rough on my home and belongings, and always leave the home a mess. I received a $94 bill for this job, despite the fact is wasn't completed."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I do not believe I should pay Kulas for the final job."
COMPANY RESPONSE: Mark Kulas, president, Kulas Maids Inc.
"This member has been our customer since June 2007, and we've never experienced any problems with her that could not be corrected.
"She called after her last job and notified us of her dissatisfaction. We scheduled an appointment to have a supervisor look at the damage the same day and address her complaints, but she canceled the appointment.
"Our office tried three times to call and apologize, but she never returned our calls. Our policy is to assign a permanent crew for weekly or biweekly customers, but she never requested this. We are truly sorry she is unhappy, but we did everything in our power to correct this situation.
"However, as a gesture of goodwill, we are removing all fees associated with this account."
