Cleveland dentists go the extra smile for patients
Whether you live in Shaker Heights or down in Canton, you’re looking for great service, especially regarding your family’s dental care.
Here’s the latest Post of Happiness for great service from Cleveland dentists as selected by the Angie’s List Newsroom staff.
Dental care for an aging father
Taking care of his father is important for Charles May. And knowing that the dentists at the Center for Dental Health of Eastlake, Ohio can handle his aging father’s complexities makes choosing them much easier. “I’ve used this place for all my dental care and for my elderly father who has some degree of dementia,” he says. “My experience and both the dentists there has been consistently excellent. I’ve had mostly routine care, although they did redo a crown for me. My father also had routine care and a new dental bridge, which was done very well.
"It’s not a high-end practice, in terms of prices," he says. "However it’s quite comfortable and accommodating. It’s services a lot of elderly, retirees and middle-class people. I’m a retired physician and don’t like going to doctors, but this place is good.”
A crowning achievement
Dr. Steven P. Marsh of Cleveland opened the door to great dental care for Dave Mewes. “I had a broken tooth around a cavity and went to the dentist,” he says. “The doctor himself met me at the door of the office. He was very friendly and engaged in a sincere way. The staff gave me a tour of the office and introduced me to everyone. This very talented staff did a great job helping put in a temporary filling for my broken tooth.
"The doctor also performed some detail work on an existing crown," Mewes says. "He sized it to fit better over my other teeth. It was a very visible improvement and I really appreciated it.”
Pulling a teen's five teeth
Dr. Ira Weiss of Beachwood, Ohio made working with a teenager look easy when Lise McFarlane took her son in to have five teeth pulled. “Dr. Weiss was extremely nice and explained everything he did. He made sure my son understood the procedure and made him feel less stressed about it,” she says. “The process only took 45 minutes and the healing process was super easy. He explained the healing process to my son and had my son back home and eating normal again in less than a week.
"Although it was an experience my son doesn’t want to repeat, he did say it was quite easy and he liked Dr. Weiss," she says. "I highly recommend this orthodontist.”
Dentists 'on the ball'
Dr. Kevin Fryer of Wickliffe, Ohio saved Sandra Lintala and her family from a holiday dental emergency. “I cracked a tooth over the holidays and needed emergency dental work. I had to have the tooth extracted and it went really well,” she says.
“Also, my son came home from college and needed some dental work done over the break," she says. "They were able to get a lot of needed dental work in while he was off of school. They also helped me maximize my dental benefits at this time. They even worked quickly to figure out a billing error. They were on the ball.”
About Posts of Happiness
At Angie’s List, we regularly hear from members who are ecstatic about outstanding service received from the companies they’ve hired. We think such great service deserves recognition, which is why we feature Posts of Happiness.
We ask our members for nominations when they rate companies with A's in every category. To qualify, a review must be at least 500 characters about a company's actual work (not just an estimate) and members need to assure us that they'd hire again.
After a nomination, our staff selects the most outstanding stories to feature. If we choose your nomination, your review will appear in our monthly magazine and even right here on our website.
