Chicago veterinarian helps injured squirrel
Basa says she learned about managing finances, of all things, from Bud-dee. "When I'd put out nuts for her, she would eat one third, then bury and save the other two thirds," Basa says. "She protected it and never bit the hand that fed her. That's pretty much what you need to know about earning and saving money."

Description of work "Family Pet Animal Hospital euthanized an injured squirrel I brought in."
Member comments "My neighbor found a squirrel while out walking her dog. These people [at Family Pet] should be nominated for sainthood. I did the three things vets don't like: I came in without an appointment, I brought in a wild animal, and I'm not one of their clients. They were gracious, sympathetic, immediately responsive and refused to take any money. Pinch me - am I dreaming? I immediately transferred the records for my two cats from my current vet over to Family Pet because this is where I'll be taking them from now on."
