Chicago roofing, door companies praised for good work
For David and Ory Ludwin, their new roof's all the proof they need. "These guys are pros!" the Ludwins say. "They took time to understand why we had some interior leaks and suggested a fix to remedy the situation. They started at 7 a.m. sharp and had the roof off by 8 a.m. They protected our shrubs with tarps and continually cleaned up debris. By 3 p.m., they finished and had everything cleaned up. It was a beautiful job!"
Bruno Bertocci got a higher level of service for his garage door repairs. "My garage door slipped off the tracks and a spindle came out," Bertocci says. "A technician from KG Doors came out as scheduled and figured out the problem quickly and fixed it. He's efficient, neat and knows everything there is to know about garage doors. The door works perfectly now.
Paul Wachtel's happy with his new loo. "They completely gutted and refinished my basement and basement bathroom," Wachtel says. "Overall, my experience with Jack [Kowalczyk, the owner] was very good. He was very professional and honest with me throughout the entire job. I'm so pleased with my new basement and bathroom."
Kim Blecke's glad she called Rex when the presses stopped. "My Epson printer wasn't feeding paper correctly," Blecke says. "They cleaned it and it worked like brand new again. Two weeks later, the printer started sending a code that said it needed service again. I called Rex and they said if it still printed fine - it did - ignore the code. A week later, it quit printing. I took it back to Rex, and not only did they fix it, they didn't charge me!
Lynn Kalanik says her project was on the cutting edge. "They sawed my large semicircular custom sofa in half so it's easier to move and then rebuilt it with new springs, padding and upholstery," Kalanik says. "Then they bolted the entire thing together back at my house, using a method that's invisible, but able to be undone if I want to move it. It's beautiful."
When it comes to meeting new with old, Rachel Barner says they're on the level. "They installed new white oak flooring in my 120-year-old house," Barner says. "The project included removing old carpeting and two layers of old subfloor, installing new subfloors and leveling the floors between rooms. This is one of the most pleasant experiences I've had with a contractor - and I've dealt with many. They were timely, efficient, courteous and clean - all the things you expect but never get. The floors look absolutely flawless."
Mimi Apelqvist hammered home the praise after receiving solid roofing and gutter work. "They tore off and replaced my house and garage's roofs and gutters," Apelqvist says. "Working with Moore Construction was a delight! Michael [Moore, the owner] kept to his word on all accounts and his team was very hardworking and respectful of the property, leaving it immaculate. The project was hassle free, high quality and there were no surprises.
