Charlotte housecleaner solves case of the missing broom

Member complaint

I hired DiCi Cleaning Service in Charlotte, N.C., to clean my home. One housecleaner arrived later than I was told to expect her. I told her the bathrooms and the downstairs hardwoods were my highest priorities. Also, the ceiling fans needed dusting. If she had more time, general cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, etc. would be great. Since no one else came to help her like she expected, she cleaned for four hours by herself.

All of the ceiling fans were not dusted. The hardwoods in the dining room were not cleaned. I was so disappointed. I called Cristian [Montano, operations manager] and he had this lady plus one other come out again the following day.

I was pleased with the work, but I later realized that the cleaning ladies had taken my broom with them. I have been trying to get it back, sending e-mails to Cristian. He assured me he would have it returned or he would leave me one of his. I told him that if I was not home, he could please leave it on my porch. I still don’t have it. I want my broom replaced with a new one.

Provider response

The owner will come by to drop off one of our brooms. I only heard from you once regarding this, and the team told me they did not take it. I’ve never received an email or a call from you regarding this matter, just two messages from Angie’s List, to which I responded on both occasions. I am sorry for any inconvenience we may have caused.

Have a complaint?

Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
