Charlotte homeowner hires a piano tuner
Shirley Knack, who keeps the piano for her grandchildren, doesn't know how to play. But she knew right away the sound had improved when Timothy Barnes, the owner, played Scott Joplin's "Maple Leaf Rag." "You could really tell with that song whether the piano was out of tune," she says.

Description of work "I had a very old piano that had been moved twice. It required two pitch raises, which added to the cost. I was extremely pleased with the work done and the professionalism shown. It sounds better than I'd even hoped!"
Member Comments "He arrived a bit late, but called to explain why as he was coming over. The piano came apart easily, so he could access the board for tuning. He was very good at explaining everything as he went along. It took some time, almost two hours total, but there was a lot to be done. I'm impressed such a young man was so qualified and did such a great job."
