Cape Coral company builds sound sea wall

After Angie’s List member Alfred Levy of Jupiter, Florida, bought a lot in Cape Coral, Florida, his first step was to find someone to build a sea wall.

“You need to have a sea wall constructed prior to building a house on a canal lot in Cape Coral,” he says. “It helps to prevent erosion.”

Levy contacted highly rated Honc Marine Contracting, also in Cape Coral, soon after purchasing the lot.

“I planned the work only a very short time before contracting with Honc to do it,” he says. “Sea walls in Cape Coral are generic structures. I only had to decide to have it done at the specific time I asked them to do it, and they did all the detailed planning of its construction.”

Levy says when it came to obtaining permits from the state to build the 123-foot wall, Honc took care of everything. Though it took awhile to get the permits, according to Levy, the staff and Honc answered all his questions and kept him informed throughout the process.

Levy says he has two favorite parts of the $14,700 project. The first was working with Honc’s staff.

“The salesman bent over backward to help me,” he says. “He began to seem more like a friend than a salesman by the end of the project.”

His other favorite part of the project deals with aesthetics. “My second [favorite part] was seeing the completed seawall,” he says, “which enhanced the look of the property and the view of the water beautifully.”
