"JT & Sons Landscape & Design didn't clean up my yard and remove leaves, as per our contract. Due to an early snow, the leaves weren't removed [in the fall]. I called them the following spring, asking them to honor our original contract and remove the leaves, for which I paid them more than $4,000. They knew I wasn't renewing the contract the following year, and told me I'd have to pay for the leaf cleanup and removal. I agreed to pay them $700 to clean up and remove the leaves and apply mulch.
They removed some leaves and dumped the rest on the edge of my property. They had my credit card on file, and when I received my statement, they charged me $1,400. After leaving five messages, Joe Flanagan, the owner, finally returned my call. I asked for a $700 refund, which he refused. So as to not lose my $700, I agreed to have them mow my yard through mid-July and also remove the leaves they left behind in the spring.
They mowed the lawn, but never removed the leaves. I sent them a request via certified mail asking for a $350 refund for not removing the leaves. I never received an acknowledgement of my request."
DESIRED RESOLUTION: "I want a $350 refund."
