Boston appliance repair shop blamed for faulty oven

COMPLAINT: Alice Shabecoff, Brookline, Mass.

“I bought an Amana electric oven at a retail store and an extended service contract from Maytag. The oven has broken three times in three years, and the problem has been the touchpad each time.

"Maytag lost its record of my service contract, and when I complained, they told me to use my service contract! Their customer service is as faulty as their appliance.”

DESIRED RESOLUTION: “I want to be reimbursed for repairs as well as the cost of the service contract and a new
touchpad.”

STATUS: Penalty Box
