Bloomington, Minnesota member fired up about fireplace

Member Craig Wiklund recently hired highly rated Everlast Masonry of Excelsior, to update his basement fireplace. Among other things, the company helped Wiklund determine what material to use for his mantel.
Here’s what Wiklund had to say about his experience: “I had already purchased all the materials and Everlast was hired to refinish my fireplace with an artificial stone veneer. They came over on short notice to scope out the project. I luckily caught them during a break in another job and they had my project finished in three days. I was planning on installing the mantel for the fireplace myself, but they had some great suggestions on what I could use. I finally narrowed it down to rustic barn beam. Owner Pat Holappa made a special trip back to my house to show me pictures of some options for mantel supports. He even sketched out details for me to follow when mounting. I thought it was great that he was willing to explain how I could complete the supports. The end result is absolutely beautiful!”
