Batavia company keeps homeowner’s dogs secured with new fence
When Angie’s List member Jena Peterson bought her Cincinnati home, she knew she needed to replace the fence.
“There were several different types of fencing, all of the fences were falling apart and overgrowth had taken over most of the fence line,” she says. “In addition, the fence could not and would not contain my dogs.”
Peterson has two dogs — a golden retriever mix and a chihuahua mix. She says that one can jump over a 5-foot fence, and the other can fit under a 6-inch gap, meaning the fence had to be accurately installed in order to make sure neither of her dogs could escape.
According to Peterson, her yard is on a hill with multiple retaining walls and a shared driveway, and she has a garage in the middle of her yard, making the job even more difficult.
However, she says highly rated Advanced Outdoor Services in Batavia, Ohio, rose to the challenge. The company removed her old fence and installed a new, 6-foot-high cedar fence, which included a double drive gate and four walk-through gates. The removal and install cost totaled $10,485.
Peterson says her favorite part of the whole experience was being able to let her dogs out into her yard after the fence was finished without fear that either would escape.
“I could rave on and on about how thankful I am that I chose Advanced Outdoor Services,” she writes in her Page of Happiness-nominated review of the company, “but instead, I will simply say this: If they do half the job they did for me, you will be more than satisfied.”
