Austin member says gardener took the money and ran
I hired Forever Lasting Gardens of Leander, Texas, to put down a weed barrier and mortar the stone border of my garden. I had a house party coming up the next weekend, and they promised to complete the work within two days.
They were very responsive during the sales process, but once their worker received his money upfront, he never responded to me. He stole my money and left my yard a complete mess. The one day he did arrive, he didn’t have the workers with him he promised he would bring. He stayed for a few hours and pulled up mulch and plants in my walkway and yard, but never came back. Half my plants died. My irrigation system is no longer functional. He seemed very friendly, trustworthy and service-oriented in the sales process, but he completely fooled me. Afterwards, I emailed, called and texted him about 20 times total and never heard back. I would like them to complete the work and pay an additional $250, and have a third-party inspector deem the work satisfactory.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
