Austin computer repair company resolves member's complaint
I hired Austin Mobile Computer Repair of Cedar Park, Texas, to transfer all my information from my old computer to my new computer. I was quoted a price of $125. When the technician arrived late, he found four viruses on my computer. After he took care of those, he checked out my modem and changed the password, which I didn’t ask for, and left without checking the Internet connection. I called him and he helped me troubleshoot the Internet connection over the phone. I also found he hadn’t transferred everything I needed to the new computer. He told me it would take 24 hours, but he originally gave the impression he’d be capable of doing that when he came to my house. I received a bill for $670, far more than the price I had been quoted. I would like a $325 refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
