Austin auto service company refunds money to member
I hired NTB Tire & Service Center’s Research Boulevard location in Austin to fix the vibration in the wheel steering on my BMW.
I left it for an inspection and was told the car needed two front tires and an alignment. It would cost $384.19. I asked if these services would fix the problem and was told they would.
I approved the work, picked up my car and drove it. I noticed the exact same problem. I went back two days later and they told me to leave the car again. Later they said my car needs rotors, two brake pads, brake shoes, etc., for a total cost of $778.90. I ask again, will this fix the problem and they say, absolutely. I approved the work, picked up the car and again found the same problem.
When I go back, the manager says he will ride with me while I drive the car. He agrees the problem hasn’t been fixed.
He is rude to me after we return to the store, but says they can fix my car. I refused because two tries and $1,163.09 is enough. I want a full refund.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
