COMPLAINT: Carolyn Emery, Winston
Safelight Glass Corp. replaced my windshield. My appointment window was 9 a.m. to noon. The technician called at 9:25 and said he'd do his best to be on time. At 12:15, I called to check the status. The company said management would return my call. I called again and was transferred to the complaint department, but I found this to be a dead end. When I called again at 2:10, they said the technician moved on to another job because I couldn't be reached. Apparently, he'd tried to call me while I was on a business call. The technician arrived at 3:15.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I'd like them to reimburse my $50 deductible.
STATUS: Penalty Box
COMPLAINT: Lee Ballew, Marietta
Dixon Painting replaced some plywood but didn't replace the edging - they just caulked the old edging, which won't last. The workers reinstalled vents, facing them the wrong way, and used only one coat of paint. I feel let down.
DESIRED RESOLUTION: I want a $300 refund.
RESPONSE: Mark Stallings, marketing director, Dixon Painting
The member contacted us by mail about a problem with the job we performed. This was after we did a final inspection with her and she signed a satisfaction form stating she was happy. We tried to call her to schedule a time for us to fix the problem, but she said she only wanted correspondence by mail and hung up on us. There's no way to schedule anything by mail as our schedules change daily. We're fully willing to return to the job site if there's a problem.
