Atlanta painting, computer repair companies praised for good work
Jennifer Barnes rehabs old houses, and when she needs work done, she calls Spectacular Painting. "Owner Armando Woodley and his crew have done work on our last 12 rehabs," Barnes says. "On the most recent job, they pressure washed, removed peeling paint, repainted the exterior, and completed the porch and trim. Other homeowners in the subdivision commented on how great the house looked."
Skip Johnson gave Computer Troubleshooters plenty of targets when his home wireless network wouldn't connect. "Charles, the tech, recognized that my new router was defective, and offered to pick up a new one that would solve the problem," Johnson says. "He came out a second time, hooked up the new router, and realized it didn't have the necessary range, so he returned with a third router that did a better job. He only charged me one price for the entire job. He was professional, knowledgeable and never got bothered by my computer's hiccups - unlike me."
Bryant Brooks loves the results of Distinctive Remodeling's extensive completion of an unfinished basement. "This was the most effortless project I've ever dealt with," Brooks says. "They were extremely flexible to integrate my mid-project changes into the overall plan. This is by far the most well-organized construction firm I've ever come across."
Margaret Townsend was thrilled with the cleaning, restoring and sealing of her tile and stone. "Their work is phenomenal!" she says. "Everything looks brand new. All I need to clean the tile is a neutral cleaner - almost water alone. They were very professional through the entire process, and the results were magnificent."
Mower Menders swooped in after a squirrel chewed through Howard Patrick's lawn mower gas cap. "This let some water get into the fuel tank," Patrick says. "They removed the water from the fuel, did a tuneup, and now the mower starts immediately and runs great. They estimated the repair would take two weeks, but they completed it in one."
Vickie Beachley teed up Sod Sales when rainwater drainage from a nearby golf course ruined her yard's grass. "[Owner] Phil Polak and his crew put in drainage along my entire backyard fence line, along with a decorative bed that keeps it from looking totally utilitarian," Beachley says. "After the first rain since the installation, the yard dried quickly instead of staying a mushy mess for weeks."
Katherine Flagg appreciated owner Peggy King's dedication to getting the job done properly and inexpensively when refinishing her floors. "I have 20-year-old floors, and some of the companies that did estimates said they were too old and wanted to tear them out completely," Flagg says. "Peggy completely disagreed and refinished all the hardwood floors. The floors on the first and second stories had originally been completely different, but once they were redone, you'd never know the difference."
Teresa Serewicz says despite the name, she considers VIP Alterations to be a full tailor, thanks to excellent work done over the course of five years. "They've handled both the simplest tasks and the most complex, such as a superb job remaking an older box-like blazer into a fitted jacket," Serewicz says. "They're very friendly and nice to work with!"
