Albuquerque plumber resolves issue with broken pump
I hired Albuquerque Plumbing Heating & Cooling of Albuquerque, N.M., to clean a residential sewer line. The technician damaged the electric pump in the lift station next to the street with the snake reel.
The pump was damaged beyond repair and the tech’s boss was called to the site to replace the pump and complete the job. The technician’s cost, at $40 an hour, and the boss at $89.50 an hour, took 4.5 hours each, plus the cost of the pump (approximately $800), and the extra labor cost is unacceptable. I had to pay for this company’s mistakes. I want a $975 reimbursement.

I will cut the customer a check for the amount in question.

Have a complaint?
Our Angie’s List complaint resolution team attempts to resolve disputes between members and service providers. During this process, three outcomes can happen: Penalty Box, Resolved or Stalemate. Companies that don’t respond to a member’s complaint will be placed in the Penalty Box until they respond. A case becomes Resolved if a company addresses the complaint to the member’s satisfaction, or it becomes a Stalemate if the provider responds, but the company and the member can’t reach an agreement.
