Aall Bright window cleaning earns rave reviews on Angie's List
by Paul F. P. Pogue
Paul Salsbury's company name is pronounced just as if there were only one A. "I only added the other 'A' to be at the top of the phone book," he says. "Had I known how hard it was going to be for everybody, I would have just called it 'A1.'"
He certainly needn't have worried about standing out. Salsbury's record with Angie's List members earned him Tampa Best Contractor honors in 2011.
Salsbury founded Aall Bright in 1999, and still maintains his first customer. "I called my insurance agent to find out about liability insurance, and she said, 'We need a cleaner here,'" he recalls. "We still clean their windows!" Aall Bright covers several fields, including window cleaning, pressure washing, gutter cleaning and even changing batteries in smoke detectors - anything up to 32 feet high.
Salsbury says his company works to maintain longtime relationships. "We want people to use us every year," he says. "We do everything so the homeowner can just relax and not worry about it. Showing up on time is a really important thing, and it's nearly unheard of here in Florida. So it makes a difference when customers know they can count on us."
And, of course, the end result matters a great deal. Salsbury compares never cleaning your windows to going through life needing glasses: "Once you get them, you realize how clear it can really be. Sometimes people will tell us to just do the outside, but they don't know the inside gets so dusty that sometimes it looks like it's done once you clean them. When your windows are clean, your whole house feels clean."
Angie's List member Jane Pol of Tampa didn't regret hiring Salsbury after an extensive search for a good pressure washer. "Out of four contractors I called, Paul was the only one who answered his phone each and every time," she says. "His crew did a fabulous job on the work. The house just sparkles. I couldn't be more pleased with the results!
"One customer had never had her windows cleaned before, and she compared it to going through your life needing glasses," he says. just of the windowsthat the inside gets so dusty that sometimes it looks like it's done already once you clean them.
