1972 VW Camper purrs after tuneup by master mechanic
Description of Work:
George [Wakita, the owner] performed several repairs to my 1972 VW Camper that required skill and expertise. He changed my oil, attended to several exhaust and intake manifold leaks, as well as two frozen rear brake adjusters. He also fixed several oil leaks. He synced my dual carburetors and adjusted the points and valves. He also diagnosed and fixed a problem with my gas gauge.
Finally, George repaired a loose wiper shaft that’s been banging around for years. My camper has never driven better than it does now -- it purrs. On a second visit, George attended to a problem I had with the sliding door. In fact, he came in after hours on a Saturday evening to fix the door so it would close. I cannot thank George enough for going out of his way to help me out.
I cannot speak highly enough of George's work; he’s knowledgeable about all things VW. He took the time to explain the science behind the problems, as he wanted me to understand the problem fully. It felt like my Camper was his patient and he wanted the patient to thrive.
