At what age should your child visit the dentist?

Good dental habits start early. The American Dental Association recommends very young children should see the dentist as soon as the first tooth erupts.

Information Text:

Dr. Jin Cho, Glendale Dental Associates:  “The ADA recommends the first visit to occur at around 6 months of age. That is usually when the first babytooth erupts, so at that app’t, we like to educate parents on how to brush properly and look for any problems that may be forthcoming.  It is also recommended at 2 to 3 years of age they come in for their first checkup cleaning."
