How Angie's List works:
1. As a member, sign in to AngiesList.com to find a highly rated service company.
2. Read detailed reports on specific service companies from other members in your area.
3. Make an informed hiring decision and report your own experiences.
Oh, and service companies can't self-report or buy their way onto the List. (We get that question a lot and dedicate and extraordinary amount of time and effort to prevent it.)
Angie's List members receive:
• Access to thousands of local reports across more than 300 service categories.
• Subscription to our award-winning Angie's List Magazine. • Penalty Box to see which companies aren't pulling their weight. • Complaint resolution should a problem arise with a company.
• Coupons from highly rated service companies.
• Discounts to local museums, concerts and sporting events.

Overall: A
Price: B
Quality: A
Responsiveness: A
Punctuality: A
Professionalism: A
Cost: $11,000
Description of Work: Complete metal re-roof.
Member Comments: Except for one of the roofers falling through my bedroom ceiling, the job went very smoothly. They were very careful to take off the old (metal) roof one section at a time and immediately recovering with the new metal roof. PS: the worker who fell through the ceiling was not injured, and the crew put in new sheetrock and paint at no extra charge.

Overall: D
Price: C
Quality: C
Responsiveness: F
Punctuality: F
Professionalism: N/A
Cost: $6,000
Description of Work: Replaced the old roof and several roof vents.
Member Comments: It started poorly when I was awakened very early one Sunday morning by a crew unloading shingles on to my roof when I had been told to expect them the next day. I had difficulty at several points being able to get in touch with the sales guy about little issues that needed to be corrected. They did a bad clean up job and made no attempt to protect plants or flower beds. The work was done, but it was NOT a good experience, and I'm happy to protect others from the same.
