How Angie's List works:
1. As a member, sign in to AngiesList.com to find a highly rated service company.
2. Read detailed reports on specific service companies from other members in your area.
3. Make an informed hiring decision and report your own experiences.
Oh, and service companies can't self-report or buy their way onto the List. (We get that question a lot and dedicate and extraordinary amount of time and effort to prevent it.)
Angie's List members receive:
• Access to thousands of local reports across more than 300 service categories.
• Subscription to our award-winning Angie's List Magazine. • Penalty Box to see which companies aren't pulling their weight. • Complaint resolution should a problem arise with a company.
• Coupons from highly rated service companies.
• Discounts to local museums, concerts and sporting events.

Peek at the List |
Overall: A
Price: B
Quality: A
Responsiveness: A
Punctuality: A
Professionalism: A
Cost: $2,400
Description of Work: Electrical technicians installed a 240 V line from our garage to a newly-installed oven and corrected previous work on some electrical outlets and lighting.
Member Comments: Cost was high, but I really believe that you should expect to pay a reasonable price for quality service, and we were very happy with the end results. He left the area clean, locked up the house (no cats escaped!) and set up a meeting with the county inspector the next day to take care of the paperwork. I plan on using them again within the next 6 months.

Overall: F
Price: F
Quality: F
Responsiveness: C
Punctuality: D
Professionalism: F
Cost: $3,000
Description of Work: Upgraded service; installed new panel; updated and added new outlets.
Member Comments: The estimate was prompt and the electrician polite, but the work took three times as long as expected. I found live wires hanging dangerously from the basement ceiling and resting on storage shelves instead of properly stowed. The receptionist/office manager called relentlessly for final payment before the work was done and then again before the work was inspected (per the permit, payment can be withheld until the work passes inspection).
