Washington Roofing Contractors Reviews

D
"The overall grade of "F" for professionalism was very unfortunate, but well earned unfortunately.
The general procedure of coming for estimate, installation, and quality of roof for the most part were ok. However the truly distasteful aspect of dealing with
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the integrity and professionalism of the individuals I dealt with. Learning points:
1.
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
appears to me to be a sub-contracting agent. When something does not go well with the crew you get for the work,
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
will disavow any responsibility, as they did with me. They referred me back to the SubContractor, in this case Serguio. However I contracted with a company named
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
who had reviews and reputation on Angies List because they were
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
. When things don't go well, they no longer are responsible? Wrong.
2. Serguio came to make an estimate and was very misleading to me about what the work included. I had a large amount of old insulation in the attic as well as debris from other roofing jobs. Since the roof was going to be open anyway, I specifically wanted his crew to A) remove old insulation and B) remove old debris. I wanted to know if he would charge extra to do so (I was happy to pay extra). I was told that 1) New insulation would be installed, 2) old would be removed, and 3) debris would be hauled away.
I needed repair to a beam done as well.
None of this happened. And, considering the rest of the story that you will soon see, I don't believe it to have been a mis communication. He was misleading on purpose. The New insulation were panels, and part of the roof, which allowed him to say new insulation would be installed. None of the old debris were removed. As a matter of fact, the attic area was completely littered with NEW debris instead. Further, when they said they were done, the beam repair was unfinished and tools left in the attic. The exterior porches of the house were covered in debris. The crew doing the roofing were unprofessional in the extreme, laughing, joking, shouting, and generally applying zero attention to detail. They enjoyed the congenial atmosphere of the business but in doing, they left lots of rocks and debris on a fragile sunlight panel in the attic, for one. Further, they neglected to notice that the sunlight window construction on the roof that they were building to replace the roofing with, was the wrong size for the sunlight. So they just put it on the wrong size.
I know this not because Serguio called to apologize and offer to repair it, but rather because he called me and said "YOU HAVE TO BUY A NEW SUNLIGHT BECAUSE ITS THE WRONG SIZE." ?? Only with a long, detailed and painful conversation did I wring from him the fact that his guys had made it the wrong size. Why is this my fault? They refused to replace it, but offered to come by some day and put additional roofing material around the sunlight. Why hadnt they done that before telling me about the problem? Why had he tried to lie to me about it?
He apologized profusely and did offer to come back and finish the beam, and clean the debris. He did this, and I appreciate that very much. I have as of yet not had them come back to put additional materials on the sunlight shoring. I think it will not leak. I've been watching for the slightest sign of a leak, but so far it seems to be holding up well.
I asked him for credit to re-roof the portion near the air conditioners should I need to move them in the future and he was again very
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
about that and offered a 300 credit. This was verbal and judging by the integrity of the rest of the operation, questionable.
In all, dealing with both
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
main office and the sub contractor was less than good. Serguio did profusely apologize and came back to clean. But essentially he came on his own time and cleaned up after his crew's mistakes, which I appreciated. But it didnt make the sunlight correct, nor the original terms of the deal such as the insulation removal and debris removal, happen.
The good reputation of
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
is undeserved and frankly, I felt totally taken advantage of. The price was comprable to other estimates. But I had gone with them because of the installation promises, et cetera.
for a roofing company to call it quits while the job was unfinished and leave the owner to demand answers instead of getting the truth on the first conversation, and for
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
to disavow any responsibility, is unacceptable. for 12,000 one asks for at least dignity and respect. I would not do business with, nor do I recommend,
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
Roofing Systems.

"I set up an appointment a week in advance for 2/17/14 to do an estimate on roof work. They did not show, did not respond to my call, and did not respond to my email. I am very disappointed. This is not a company that should be high up on Angie's List, in my opinion. My time is valuable and I expect it to be respected by service companies.

"My neighbor and I decided to cap the wall between us, which was for some reason falling apart in places and without the metal cap. I had two estimates. The other company wanted to replace my whole roof! Artem came out, said my roof was perfectly fine (did diagnose a "low spot", though) and said he could easily cap the wall between us. A quote was generated quickly, and my neighbor and I agreed on the proposal. The work was done perfectly. It did take several trips to complete, though, partially from employee illness, partially from weather, partially from longer-than-expected work here and elsewhere that is just the usual delay, I think (this is my only reason for a "B" on punctuality).
Outside the work is why I would recommend
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
to anyone. Artem was incredibly friendly, professional, and patient. I'm a woman, and at the time was living alone with my husband deployed. I had to make all of these decisions on my own in our brand new house, so I asked A LOT of questions. Artem must have fielded a half dozen calls from me...and 5 times that many emails. Sometimes he re-explained things and even

pictures. I couldn't have asked for anything better from him. I would absolutely use Artem and RS in the future.

Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very quick to respond to my initial inquiry for down spout repair. He called me on the same day and came out to assess the repair the next day. He recommended a total replacement because the exisiting down spout was completely broken off of the building and was not attached correctly in the initial install.
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
cautioned me about what could happen to the roof with water damage if we didn't replace it asap. We agreed on the price and he replaced the entire down spout the next day. Excellent job, quick turnaround!!

"I hired Apex to tear off my old shingles and install new architectural shingles on my 1923 Arts and Crafts style house. They gave me a great price and did great work. They arrived early and got right to work. They tore off two layers of old shingles, replaced a couple of boards, put down the new underlayment, shingles and all the details. They added a ridge vent to the top for better ventilation in the attic. They also put down an extra later of the ice and water shield underlayment because of the house's wide overhangs. They worked hard all day long and finished the job in one day. I also like the fact that they use Pay

for payment.

"They provided us with two estimates after a leaky roof, one was substantially cheaper than the other but more of a temporary fix. We appreciated the choice, and chose the least expensive one to stay within our budget. They have always provided us with excellent service, our slate roof is 60 years old and needs pretty constant repairs.

"We can't say enough good things about our experience. Right from the get-go they were friendly and responsive on the phone. They sent a team over, and even took pictures which they gave us copies of on the spot so we could see what the issues were and exactly what they intended to do. This was very helpful as we do not have access to our roof so would have just had to take their word for it otherwise. They left a proposal with us right on the spot, so no need to wait several days to hear back from them. Once we accepted their proposal, they came and did the work THE NEXT DAY. Amazing! They showed up on time both times they came to our house, completed the work in a timely manner, and remained professional throughout the process. Again, point to the fact they did some extra work and didn't charge more for it. Their prices were completely reasonable compared to other estimates we received. This is one of the best contractor experiences we've ever had!

"We had a few minor leaks in what we were told was a brand new roof.
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
came out to take a look and it turned out that it wasn't a new roof and it either needed to be replaced or sealed. We ended up going with sealing which was cheaper but lasts for 5 years. He was very responsive and when weather delayed their progress, he kept me updated and informed. He sent me a picture when it was completed so I could see what they'd done. I'd highly recommend
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
.

"One of the best companies that I have ever dealt with. I have had numerous things done to my house since I purchased it this fall and the best decision I made was getting Certified to rip off my old roof. They were here for about a week because it took much longer than they estimated to get all the work done (because the original roof from 100 yrs ago was still on the house and also because I kept adding more work) but they were on time each day, extremely professional, and cleaned up everything after they were done. I have recommended them to everyone I know and feel great knowing that their work is guaranteed for many years to come.

"Did an outstanding job in cold conditions. Was prompt - actually a little ahead of all scheduled meeting times. Mr.
Washington Roofing Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his workers were very neat and courteous. Work required raising rooftop air conditioner and resurfacing roof underneath it. Picked up every scrap. Kept me posted on progress of work. Documented work with a series of pictures so I did not have to climb on roof to check everything out. Finished on schedule."
