Washington Psychiatrists Reviews

"Overall I liked Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
during our sessions, but he knew that it was very difficult for me to get out of work to make the appointments but showed a disregard for my desire to schedule more than one appointment in advance. I had hoped to set up recurring appointments and never said no or that he didn't do that, he just kept putting me off. Eventually, I stopped making appointments with him. Not sure he ever noticed."

"Her office is in a somewhat nondescript area of a typical downtown office building. It is secured so a random person cannot enter on a whim, which I liked. As I was going through my history, she took notes and referenced some other materials for additional lines of questioning. I filled out a survey in the office describing my past behavior.
At the end of the session, she did not prescribe any medication; however, she gave me information on a medication she was considering and asked that I research it. I had some other homework as well, which was relevant and not a significant

to complete.
I came out of the session feeling good. Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
is the first psychiatrist/psychologist/clinical social worker I've ever felt that comfortable with right off the bat. I think it helped discuss certain things; although, I went in understanding I would need to be totally upfront and honest for any diagnosis or treatment to be effective.
I would definitely recommend her to another person seeking psychiatric care.

"I was nervous at first but after meeting with her, I felt very comfortable and was able to fully explain my situation. She talked with me, gave suggestions and was very helpful."

"I spoke with the staff over the phone and found them to be very friendly and accommodating. I felt at ease right as I walked in. Although Dr
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
is frequently running behind schedule he is well worth the wait. Once I went in and we discussed my life, I felt instantly better and really felt as though I could trust him with my mental health. When our session was done, I paid, rescheduled and left. Easy peasy."

"I started seeing Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
when the psychiatrist I'd been going to wasn't able to help my depression. Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
carefully reviewed my history and prescribed medication that was helpful. Overtime medications have lost some effectiveness and I appreciate the fact that Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
doesn't make wholesale changes but tests dosage changes and slowly introduces new medications as required. He is thorough, professional, analytical and provides some "talk" therapy in addition to medication."

"Saw this doctor periodically for about 18 months. He ate lunch during my first consultation with him. Which was bizarre (and not a pretty sight). Initially, I was satisfied with my care, but over the course of working with him I began to feel significantly less cared for. He likes to prescribe. When I told him I was having sleeping trouble he gave me sleeping pills. Later, I found out that lots of patients reported insomnia as a side effect of the anti-depressants that I was on. So, I demanded to be switched. I have not seen this doctor in over 9 months, because I missed my last appointment (just forgot). Even though I am still on meds--that he is the doctor of record for--no one in his office has followed up with me to try to get me to come back for an evaluation. (I haven't followed-up with them, because I do not feel cared for when I meet with him.) My (admittedly harsh) evaluation of this doctor is that he is in the business of prescribing drugs and collecting insurance checks, not the business of patient care. "

"It went GREAT! I was impressed with his attention to detal in taking my history, and I could easily see the rationale behind every question. I wondered why my other docs hadn't asked me the same questions, they were obviously important. He made a big deal about quantifying my symptoms, and said this would be helpful in measuring improvement. No one before had ever done this, and I've seen a lot of shrinks. He was very warm and caring, but you could almost see the gears turning in his head as he was putting together the info as if they were pieces to a puzzle. At the end, while he was giving his analysis and recommendations, he was also asking about my opinions and preferences. He would present the pros and cons of different options and treated me like a teamate, not like an inferior. He was never judgemental....I felt like he was a true ally. He is expensive but very much in demand and I can now understand why. He is smart, knowledgable and has a big heart. I have already improved a lot with his treatment plan. Take my advice, see this guy."

"Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
knew exactly what medications to prescribe. Once started, these medications helped alleviate my symptoms and put me back on a course of health and well-being. He provided valuable "talk therapy" in addition to providing the appropriate medications, the combination of which helped me immensely. Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
is an extremely experienced, knowledgeable and caring individual. He was not only extremely knowledgeable in his field of expertise, but he was one the most empathetic and kind medical practitioners I have ever met. I would highly recommend Dr.
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
for any pychiatric or pychological help that someone may need.

"He seemed knowledgeable, but not very engaged. I would only spend about 10 minutes in his office each time and it was very impersonal. I felt fortunate to have a therapist (who, unfortunately, is not an
Washington Psychiatrists Provider Name Locked
) that I could actually talk to. If were to need psychiatric services again, I would try to find a different provider."
