"This was my second time using
Washington Movers Provider Name Locked
, and I am so glad I did. They are very punctual, and quick, quiet, and organized in their work (so you aren't bothering the neighbors on a weekend morning). They wrap everything very well, and even the cheapest furniture that you wouldn't think would survive a move comes out safely on the other side. They managed to get the truck backed down a very narrow

the moving team each time I moved -

- and he is very courteous and a pleasure to work with. One particularly ratty bookcase had the back falling off of it (even before we moved it), and one of the movers went to the trouble of fixing the back of it before he brought it in. Moving is such a stressful experience, and

has twice made things go much more smoothly than I expected. I would recommend them to anyone.

FED UP. I contacted
Washington Movers Provider Name Locked
because of their great reviews here. I am very disappointed. In late December, I called them to let them know that I needed to move locally (around the block), but that I was leaving town to care for very ill family member. I would be able to come back, but probably on short notice and only for a day or two when there might be a

a moment of stability in her care. They said no problem, and that they could be counted on to take care of everything. Based on their reputation on Angies List, and their assurances, I counted on them to help me through a difficult move, not take advantage of a difficult situation. About a month later, I called back and scheduled a move (from a one bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom). I again explained that I had a narrow window, and had to get back to caring for my mother immediately following the move. They estimated that it would take 6 hours for "

" to 1) pack and move my boxes, 2) move my storage unit contents and 3) pack and move my furniture to the new place. In the end, I packed my own boxes, and moved 90% of them myself (along with all the storage unit contents) beforehand with two friends. The movers only had to pack and move the furniture and move a handful of pre-packed boxes. They worked SLOOOOOOOOWLY. Even though most of it was done before they got there, I believe their slowness stretched the move out to run way overtime. It was agonizing to watch them do things at a seemingly snails pace. The guys who came seemed indifferent as the clock ran out on getting everything done. The details: Since the movers were scheduled to arrive at 9:30 AM, and I needed to get back on a flight by 7:25 PM, I packed all the boxes myself beforehand. To give us extra time, I rented an SUV and moved 90% of the boxes over myself (with two friends) the day before. We completely emptied the storage unit and moved it too. All that was left was the furniture and a few pre-packed boxes (the "final boxes" you have in any move). My friends and I stopped moving things when we concluded that with access to a truck we (two physicists and a mathematician) could do the rest of the job in less than 4 hours. We figured
Washington Movers Provider Name Locked
could do it in 3 hours or less. When the movers called to confirm the day before, I let them know that I expected the job to be mostly done (at least the boxes). They said that if it was less 6 hours, they would charge less. The ?

? (one of whom was never in the military) arrived slightly late, just before 10 am. By 4 pm, they were still in my old apartment finishing packing my furniture ? couches, a dining room table and chairs, some artwork, a bed, etc ? a normal one bedroom. They had full access to an elevator in my old building which was reserved exclusively for them for the whole day. By mid-afternoon, I had called the company. After a load of excuses, the one thing they were good at was sending extra guys at the last minute to finish the job. With the reserves? help starting at 4 pm, we got things over to the new apartment. My new coop was angry because they had extra staff on duty the whole day waiting for the movers (based on the timing the movers told me), and they had to have them stay overtime. They also initially did not want to let us in since their cut-off time for moves was 5 pm (I overcame that). After the stuff was in my apartment, it was 6 pm and I had to kick the movers out since I still had to get to the airport. At their pace, without me there it looked like it would take them all night with the bill just going on and on and on for them to assemble the furniture. The job, which should have ended early, instead ended late, unfinished, and with lots of unnecessary problems. These "

" were shameful in their performance. As a side note, since they do not even use all
Washington Movers Provider Name Locked
, they should probably not be using that name.

Washington Movers Reviews

"They were great and absolutely professional. They charged us by the hour. They were careful with the fragile items. They were really helpful. We had electronic items, chairs and stuff like that to be moved. We packed up most of the items, but they were able to pack things like the furniture and electronic items. I would recommend them. The guys were very positive, they showed up early, and they really hustled. There were two of them who showed up but the number changes based on how big the move is. "

"The two movers showed up about 30 minutes late, but got to work right away. I explained what needed to be moved and they got straight to work. They made the most of their dollies, moving many boxes at a time into the elevator and out on to the truck. They did a good job of wrapping furniture with mover's wrap to keep various components together and the prevent scratching. With one of the building's elevators reserved exclusively for my move, they completed the move out in 2-3 hours, a bit longer than I expected, but not unreasonable. I was able to clean as they moved my things, which helped make the most of my time. I provided directions for the storage facility and departed separately. They arrived within 30 minutes. My only direction was to try to keep the TV and the sofa -- which I would need to move in first -- at the front of the storage unit. I then departed with their promise to call me once they were nearly complete. About three hours later, I returned to find them moving the last of the items. With everything already wrapped and no obstructions, this took longer than I expected, and ultimately the sofa ended up in the back of the storage unit behind most of my belongings. To be fair, I was not present to see if they encountered difficulties fitting my one-bedroom apartment worth of belongings into a storage unit the size of a single car garage. Though much of my belongings remain in storage and I have not verified the status of everything packed in boxes, no furniture was damaged and appeared to have been treated well. All in all, I was satisfied and gave both movers a good tip."

"They wrapped all of our furniture, were super chill when they realized our couch wouldnt fit in the elevator and had to go down 8 flights of stairs, they even stopped the clock knowing that we asked them to help us move a few extra boxes upstairs that were too heavy for us. They also helped re-assemble some tables we needed to take apart to move. Unfortunately our box spring did not make it up the narrow and intensely steep stairs in our new place but these guys were pretty committed to trying to find a way -- there just wasn't one."

"Spoke with representative to arrange the move about 2 weeks prior to actual date. The company called to confirm about 3 days in advance. Although they were a bit behind schedule on the day of the move they called about an hour before arrival time to let me know. Each call was courteous and respectful. When the movers arrived, they introduced themselves with a handshake. The total move took about 3 1/2 hours. They were proficient and so far nothing appears to be damaged which is great! The only reason for rating professionalism as a B is that they stopped between destinations to "grab a bite." However, would still recommend - certainly for the flat rate price given and up-to-date contact with the representative prior to the move and arrival."

"They were great. It was really as stress free as a move could be. It was a small move - not much furniture, but I didnt want to have to bother friends to help! I saw Haulzing had good reviews on Yelp. I emailed a few moving companies and I think Haulzing was first to get back to me. Efficient - They have an online form you can fill out to start the process. The owner was very responsive throughout the process, getting back to me quickly and I had no problem requesting a change in time and adding a stop. The movers were polite and helpful, and the trucks and equipment appeared very clean and in good working order. I would use again and recommend to friends."

Washington Movers Provider Name Locked
was awesome from the get go. The first meeting was painless and they were very clear as to everything in the contract. We gathered a few other quotes (including a move out/1 month storage/move in) and they beat the closest competitor by several hundred dollars. the customer service was great through out - very responsive to both email and calls - and the crews were clean, professional, and efficient. I recomend

"
Washington Movers Provider Name Locked
quickly provided a flat-rate estimate to move my small 1 bedroom studio apartment from DC to Chicago. The estimate was $3,961. Outrageous! This is more expensive than the few items I own. Needless to say, I didn't use them for my move."

"Three guys from MTB came (early) and loaded the truck in about 2-2.5 hours. They were efficient with time, and with arranging my stuff (a 1 bed apt) into the truck. Each of the 3 movers was courteous, professional, and friendly. They paid special attention to fragile items and ensuring that anything that could be damaged was well protected. MTB was excellent, great value for 3 movers, and they don't start charging until they arrive."
