Washington masonry contractors fix earthquake damage

The 5.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the nation's capital in August 2011 damaged the chimney on John Harris' Washington D.C. home.
"The mortar had started to deteriorate prior to that, so the quake just finished the job," he says.
Highly rated Renaissance Development "tuck-pointed the four-flue shared chimney with lime-based mortar, rebuilt the top eight rows and capped the flues when done," Harris says.
The job done by the Washington masonry contractors, Harris says, was "excellent."
"They were professional, clean, safe and punctual."
