"Great doctors and staff vet techs and at the front. Helpful and social. I and my family have used for years and when I found out on Angie's wanted to spread the word. Heard this is also the Obama Vet which is kinda side-line cool but I liked them before that. Great hours for drop off for long trips 7 am on, I always know they will call and take good care of my pet when Boarding, and have some Saturday and late/early hours to accommodate working people without paying Hospital prices and "big vet" culture. Still very much a neighborhood vet which I like the personalization of. "

"When I was getting ready to go back to work after having been home for several months, I looked long and hard for a doggie daycare for my puppy. It was a frustrating . Most of the daycares I saw closed at 7:00 PM, which seemed ridiculous given the amount that you pay for the service. The types of people who use doggy daycares don't leave work at 6:00 every night to make sure that they can pick up their dog before 7:00. Or, some that do stay open later charge a surcharge or charge by the hour, which makes them very expensive. With the largest package, is about $10 less per day than most of the doggie daycares around (even those in the suburbs). I was hesitant to buy such a large package since they weren't refundable. I had heard horror stories from other dog owners whose dogs had been banned from various kennels for random things and, though she is the friendliest dog in the world, I feared that, as a puppy, my dog could randomly experience the same thing and I would be stuck with a large unusable credit.
I took my dog in for a free trial day (most places charge extra for the trial) and the person on duty (I even thought she was the owner because she was so knowledgable and helpful) explained that the credit could be used for other things that they sell, which included the food I feed my dog that isn't sold that many places. She also assured me that my dog was fitting in great and would have no problems attending daycare.
Buying the package (even the smaller packages) allows you to pick up your dog any day before midnight without any extra fees and for those who live in popular neighborhoods (unfortunately we do not), pickups and drop offs are also included as part of the packages.
also has "valet barking" which is helpful in the mornings, though lately the attendant has often been away delivering a dog to the play area when I pull up, so I have had to take my dog in myself, but its very handy otherwise. Also, when they accidentally sent my dog's and leash home with a dog with a similar name, they replaced it with a much nicer set.
does now have webcams and I hear that they have made many improvements since their previous location. I can see how they can be a little nonchalant when you inquire about some of the signs of rough play (per the other member's report from 2007), but for the most part, the owners and staff and incredibly caring. They put a lot of effort into dog rescue and always have rescue dogs there and advocate their adoptions.
I'm sure there's a lot more that I could say, but for the most part, gives you so much more for the money than any daycare I've seen!"

"The staff really seems to take an interest in the animals boarded there. My dog always comes back looking well-fed and healthy (and actually gets excited when we arrive at the kennel for his next visit, which is a good sign that he doesn't mind being there). I used to use an in-home pet-sitter, but the PetsHotel is much less expensive and I feel my dog still gets a good standard of care."

"This was a terrible experience for my cat and myself from the moment we entered their building. When I arrived with my cat in his carrier, we were immediately met by several large, loud, and hyper dogs that were being reunited with their families who were picking them up. Some kennels have separate buildings or entrances for the dogs and cats, this one does not so immediately, my cat is unnerved. We had to wait in line for at least 10 minutes, being sniffed and barked at the entire time. When it was finally our turn, I was taken to a room with two small windows that housed several cages containing cats. The cages were much smaller than I expected and were open on all sides so there really no way for the cat to feel secure in them or have any sense of privacy or its own space. My cat had enough room to turn around and get into the litter box, that's it. It soon became apparent that the cats were not let out of their cages for any kind of play time or stretching. Therefore, my poor cat had to just sit in his cage for 8 long days. He couldn't even look out of the windows for entertainment as the windows were near the ceiling and none of the cages could really see out of them. The worst part was, because the staff did not like how my cat would throw his cat litter around when he'd bury his potty, they just removed the litter and gave him only newspaper to use. When I picked him up, the cat room reeked! His newspapers were soaking wet, and because they were wet, he had to poop in the middle of his cage. He buried his feces with his blanket so he would at least have a place to sit. None of this was cleaned up when I picked him up so who knows how long he had to sit with all of that urine and feces. He looked horribly sad when I got there until he recognized me. When I got him home, he immediately started coughed and a lot, like I've never heard him do before. Hopefully its just a difficult hairball and not something he picked up at that kennel. The only good thing I can say is the price was only $15 a day. However, for $3 more a day I could have taken him to a much nicer place; which I will definitely do the next time."

"This was his first experience socializing with other dogs, and all went very well. The application process is reasonable and professional. I will use them weekly to give me a day when I can be away from home for several hours. I found the personnel caring and friendly."

"Everyone we encountered at was professional and caring. When we were nervous about how our dog was doing and emailed the kennel, we got a full report of our dog's behavior, showing that people were paying attention to him. In the past, our dog has been a little sulky when we pick him up from a kennel, but not after his time at . He was tired but happy."

"We're very happy with . The vet is nice, and very professional. Once, however, we used their boarding service for a long weekend and both our cats came home with colds. Not a big deal, but now we use a pet sitter. is open on Saturdays, which is convenient for us."

"We have been using them for two years now and we are very much happy with them. They also provided boarding service for the pets and we consider the quality of their work to be excellent."

"I love the prices they offer and the care is good too. My dog looked great when she returned home. I was completely satisfied. I think they charge prices that are reasonable for what they do and I think a lot of them."

"I have a 1 year old beagle, who has never shown signs of aggression and has done well at 3 other day care facilities. He has now had his collar (thick 3/4 nylon double layered) chewed off twice, and the owner refuses to admit that it's a problem, she says it "happens all of the time." Even other employees admit that one incident would have had to take at least an hour for any size dog to chew through. Where's the supervision? The owner refuses to apologize and just says, I should buy a new collar each week. Apparently, there have been other complaints against this place, but there is no regulation in DC, so things just slip through. Visit other dog daycares. You'll notice the different. You'll notice other places are clean, don't require mounds of incense to smell, and there is total supervision, include video monitoring. I don't deny that and her employees are good people, they just run a bad business and there are better, safer places out there."
