Showed up on time, worked to get my heater fixed, good price. Very helpful and professional and kind. Nice guy and knew his business.

My 25+ yr old AC compressor died on probably the hottest day of the summer the day before I was going out of town. When I got back, I contacted
who set up an appointment the same day (literally 30 minutes after they received my message) to go over my current system, explain how the system worked, appropriately sized a replacement unit, and provided an estimate on the best unit for my application (even educated me on the various manufacturer's of A/C units - with no ridiculous sales pitch). I was even more amazed that they were even able to install the system the next day. The installers arrived earlier than expected and had everything done in about 4 hours.
The installers were extremely professional and knowledgeable and answered all of the questions I had regarding maintenance tips, things to watch for and how to properly operate my new system. I couldn't be more pleased with

Very well, technician was great at communicating the issue and providing a cost effect fix without trying to tell me I need to buy a bunch of stuff I don't need. I was very impressed with the practical advice given on how to deal with the system and suggested maintenance.

is awesome. We really can't recommend them highly enough. My husband and I have said multiple times over the course of the whole ordeal that
Washington HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
really made spending a painful amount of money a lot less painful because they are so professional, courteous and knowledgeable. They really explain what your options are and what you are getting for different price points so you know you are getting a great product. Our situation wasn't easy -- one unit on the roof of a 4 story townhouse and another outside that needed to be moved to a different spot. there were a lot of old house issues with putting in the new units and they knew exactly what to do. Everyone who came to work in our house was incredibly polite and professional and they really took care to protect our floors as they were doing all the work. You can't go wrong with them.

This was a great experience from start to finish.
Washington HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
spent a lot of time with me up front, explaining the options and steps for replacing our old A/C unit. He brought along some independent studies for me to look over on the effectiveness/ratings of the different brands. He answered all my questions and was extremely responsive. In fact, he was able to schedule the install the very next day -- just before a heat wave. The technicians who did the work were efficient and courteous. It all went "as planned" and we are very happy with the result. We would definitely recommend

Technician came to house and said my air conditioner was in good shape and the only reason that it was freezing up was that the air conditioning company I used last year put too much coolant in the air conditioner. The

technician removed some of the coolant. This cost me about $125 for this 20 minute service. A few days later, the air conditioner froze up again. I called
Washington HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and they came out to the house about a week later and they were due to arrive between 12 and 5 on a Saturday; I called the company several times to see where the technician was throughout the day and finally, by pm on Saturday, when the technician still was not at the house, I called
Washington HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
who is the owner, I believe. He was very abrupt, rude, threatened to send the technician elsewhere because I was complaining that I had waited 7 plus hours for the technician and the technician had said he was on his way to the house by no later than 4:30 that day--and kept saying he was on his way until he finally arrived around 7:15 on Saturday night. No apologies were offered by the manager,

! The technician who came late on Saturday night said that I did not have enough coolant in my air conditioner but everything else was fine. I explained that his work colleague, the technician who came the week before, said I had too much coolant and took some out. So, this second technician put the coolant back in and then said that the coils on the heater unit in the house needed cleaning but could not guarantee that this would correct the freezing up of the air flow from the air conditioner. He called

, the owner (I think) who said it would cost $450 and

allowed no reduction from the first $125 dollars I had spent for the first technician's misdiagnosis. So, the company could not figure out the problem, charged me about $250 plus for their mistake, showed up almost 3 hours past the very latest time promised (I waited a full 8 hours for them to arrive on a Saturday and they did not apologize and in fact

was rude to me), couldn't fix the problem that night, and then left. Awful service, rude management, I would never use them again.

There was an unexpected electrical short and the repairman worked to ensure the system was operating perfectly. Our system components are not new and we have been happy with the services received from this company since 2012. We appreciate a company that isn't in a hurry for us to replace equipment that is older but still working, and possible to place under a service maintenance agreement. Ask for

Everything went well. The technicians performed the work in a timely professional manner. They have been responsive to any questions or issues that have arisen. Questions being about the system, issues being a tough city inspector. They were knowledgeable and pleasant to interact with. I feel very comfortable recommending this business.

I was able to get the company to send out installers, who told me the installation would need to be somewhat different than the salesperson said. The installers seemed great. They encouraged me to give them a deposit so that I could reserve a date, which I did. I told them I still had questions and had not decided for sure, but they told me that I had time to decide and could cancel for a full refund.
So I was put on the calendar. I began arranging my life so that I'd be out of the house as much as possible during the installation. I reviewed the contract and went over the new specs I had received verbally from the installers with the HVAC consultant I had hired for my AC and heating system renovations. I sent my proposed changes to the salesperson over a month before my installation date.

proposed using Space

. We researched the system and my consultant said Space
Washington HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
has a very good zoning system, so you can have controls separately on different floors. Given that I had a heating issue in my house, this would be very valuable to me. The AC high velocity system could include a heat pump heat and I could use it as a supplement only on the floor where my heat has issues. So I asked them to install the zoning system, and asked for more specification on other items in the contract they had sent me (as advised by my consultant). The salesperson said he would talk to my consultant about the zoning system but never did. I had reserved a date for the installation with the company, and the salesperson threatened me that if I did not sign the contract as is (he wasn't getting back to me on the specifications my consultant has advised me to ask for) then they'd take me off the schedule. I waited two weeks and he never got back to me. I called DC office manager repeatedly, but they would simply say "we'll call the [salesperson's name]." I was amazed that there was no one in charge that had any authority to manage the business and decide on contracts, or (as with other HVAC companies) talk with me to try to create a solution for my house. Instead, the salesperson was the entire face of the company. I probably called the DC office three times asking for something to move forward, and I'd be promised a return call but nothing. At one point, the office manager told me the salesperson was also the "project manager." However, that person was not technically knowledgeable (at least was unable to deal with my technical questions), so it was unsettling that no one with adequate technical knowledge was working with me. I do not know why the manager of the DC location doesn't provide any oversight over the sales team. or "project manager" team.
I got a hurried email from the salesperson a little over two weeks from my installation date telling me "HE" didn't feel comfortable with the zoning system. I must admit I was surprised that the salesperson makes such decisions for the company. Nevertheless, I could see this was a company I could not work with. I had made plans, as I said, based on this installation date. I liked the installers. But I could not get past the salesperson to work with the company!
I tried to reach the salesperson to at least get my deposit back. I left him a message and told him he still had my deposit, expressed my unhappiness and indicated I would try to file a complaint but hear nothing. Finally, I called the company HQ in Philadelphia and again I was promised someone would get back to me. It has been over a week and no further response there as well. This company has had good ratings on Angie's LIst, but I must conclude that if you have a cookie cutter job they'll be fine, but any need to ask questions or probe below the surface is met with a

stare, so to speak. On top of all this, they still have my deposit - I have asked both the DC and the Philadelphia HQ for the money and (more important) some explanation of why I was treated so poorly., I held off on this review hoping they would do something to make up for this disaster, but they have not.
