Flooring reviews in Washington

Very well. The sales person (
Washington Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
I think) was on time and very helpful in determining what floor we should choose. He was also reassuring regarding some floor imperfections we had and confident they could work it out. The workers were prompt and polite and did a nice job, including clean-up.

The sales person was punctual and knowledgeable. The installation team arrived on time and did a terrific job despite the fact that my house has many twists and turns. I had one small repair needed after the installation and the matter was resolved quickly.

Showed up on time for estimation, and did a great job.
Quickly booked the date of install, and the install team showed up on time, and finished promptly and then vacuumed the room and the surrounding area very quickly.
Slightly expensive for one room of carpet, and the quality is low-medium grade carpet.

Terrible, We ended-up in court where we settled. Total Floors was not at the time of the job in question, NOT licensed by DC to
perform work in DC. They were an unlicensed contractor, using unsupervised, non-English speaking labor doing a defective job, claiming 100% of the gross contract amount and refusing to correct work per the contract and as advertised. He did not do was agreed to and did not finish the job and stuffed 15 of my suits in a ball in another closet stating I did it but did not remember. .when asked during a phone conversation on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 6:03 PM if they wanted to see the pictures of the damaged suits and other damaged contents, they stated you did not need to see them, as they knew what happened. They claim to be A+ rated by the BBB which is false. AWEFUL!

I was very pleased with the quality of the work that was provided and how overwhelmingly supportive and helpful they were even when I was picking out my materials for the job. I was extremely nervous and apprehensive prior to the project, but Mr.
Washington Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
always came through with allaying my fears and ensuring my satisfaction. I had searched high and low to find a contractor for this outdated bathroom, but the construction costs were astronomical. The Big Deal of the Day allowed me to get my bathroom remodeled without spending a fortune on labor. Additionally,
Washington Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
allowed me to get the same rate as was offered with the Big Deal for the square footage that exceeded the deal. Thank you
Washington Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
! I will definitely be using you again for my next project.

We received a reasonable quote from
Washington Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to remove our carpet and install hardwood floors. We scheduled the service for a weekend when we would be away, to make it easier on the crew (we have a loud dog).
They were supposed to come on Friday and start the work, and when I called to confirm they said the crew was coming but later in the day. We learned through a friend doing house checks that no one came on Friday. On Saturday, they began installation, and our friend took photos of the progress. By the time we came home on Monday, the work was complete, but there were multiple issues:
The crew installed the wood over some areas of broken subfloor, and never contacted us to see if that is what we wanted. As a result, one room of the house had a big dip in the floor.
We had just painted the house, and they made smudge

all over the walls, and made dents and scratches.
We had just gotten a new washing machine, which they dented in the process.
They left our bathroom in disgusting condition.
I reached out to the company immediately, and they were apologetic and sent someone to assess the damage. It took a long time, but about a month after the initial installation, the floors had been repaired/reinstalled, the paint fixed (poorly), and the washing machine repaired. When it turned out that the "repair" to the machine actually broke it, they mailed me a check for the cost of the repair.
At one point, they tried to assert that I should pay for the new flooring material in the room they had to re-do, even though they were originally responsible for contacting us about any issues in the subfloor.
The floors look great, but I would never use this company again. Everything after the price quote and scheduling was a headache.

The foyer had old vinyl floor tile which Mr.
Washington Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
removed and replaced with ceramic tile. He did the same for the kitchen, the first-floor hallway and bathroom. For the enclosed porch off the living room, he removed warped walls and replaced the sub floor with plywood, backerboard and ceramic tile. The quality of the work is so superb that other contractors have asked for his phone number.

Horribly. This company came to shampoos the carpets in my condo associations common interior hallways. The crew spent less than 5 minutes in my building, which is a 2-floor, 4-unit building. I wasn't expecting them take 1 hour to do the job, but I timed them - 5 minutes, in and out. The crew had all sorts of electrical connection wires running around, a long and tangled hose for the commercial vacuum cleaner, and this large, bulky commercial vacuum cleaner to do the carpet washing. The crew manager refused to put up "wet floo" or "men working" cautionary signs, in direct violation of EVERY industry standard, placing our unit owners and our condo association at risk for liability insurance claims. It is a TERRIBLE and RUDE company and if my Association ever uses them again, because I feel so strongly about them, I will refuse to pay some percentage of my monthly condo fee.

The sub-contracted workers were very sloppy; luckily I stayed home for the two days to provide some guidance and to avoid property damage. Although the floor looks great, the corners were not done to my satisfaction; also the plastic dust protection sheeting was not anchored down properly resulting in a complete dusty mess. I had to be on these guys to get my furniture back into the rooms - I am glad it is over and the carpeting is gone. Overall, I am happy that the carpeting is a thing of the past.

Our service technician came the same day we called for help, and he gave us an estimate. We agreed to the work, and he came back the next day and replaced the thermal cut off, cleaned the inside of the dryer (a LOT of lint inside), and strongely urged us to have the dryer vent cleaned by a professional (a task that
Washington Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
does not do); and he gave us a recommendation. Our technican completed the work efficiently and cleaned up when he was done. He was nice and polite. He gave us a discount for using Angie's List to find the company's name.
