Wood? Laminate? Tile? Carpet? Don’t let the choices overwhelm you. Follow these steps to find the best flooring for your home.
Radiant floor heating helps on cold mornings, adds value and appeals to potential homebuyers.
Instead of going the conventional route with flooring, think outside the box and try a different flooring material, such as bamboo, cork, glass or stone.
"Etiquette and tipping experts agree that tipping a contractor and his employees isn't expected because contractors offer to do a job for you at a specific price. Any extra money they would want would be built into their bid. Also, it's a business relationship rather than one where they are performing a personal service for you like a waiter or a maid. But if the employees do extra jobs around the house, then experts say it is appropriate to tip a cash amount equivalent to the task; "tip gifts" such as cookies and drinks can count. "The key to tipping is whether or not it was outside the scope of what was normally expected," says Mark Brenner, author of "Tipping for Success!"
My opinion is that a little bit of courtesy (snacks, drinks, expression of appreciation etc.) goes a long way and upon completion of their work you feel compelled by a job well done to offer a little extra in the form of a tip - go for it, but do not feel obligated.
I get so many calls from customers that were talked into a "cheaper" way to do something only to find the work very sub-par. The sad part is they are out the money they spent in the first place along with the additional amount I have to charge just to undo what the first contractor did before I can do it right. This floor could end up costing you double what it should if it's not done right.

He sold us some
We hired and Tile to do the carpet installation, and arranged a date. I waited at our home all day, trying to figure out where the installers were.
Six months later, the carpet isn't holding up--it doesn't look new, and there are some patches that are wearing badly. I'm sure we'll end up replacing it in the next few years. We won't be buying from
met my specifications for a left-side half sink for disposal, and got it at a good price.
Overall, I would hire
in in the space. They also installed a bamboo floor which looks like it is part of the original 1927 hardwood flooring of the rest of the house.
My friends and family simply love the gorgeous glass back splash.
Unique hardware and modern appliances round out the look. I love cooking, and I really love cooking in that kitchen.
Installing my new granite counter tops proved tricky, but
We wanted to convert two rooms into one by demolishing the wall in between. Each room had different type of floors: one with carpet, the other had hard-wood installed. Both were removed and replaced with a new engineered wood looking floor. Walls
were re-painted. One door was removed and sealed so the new room has only one door. There was a gap on the ceiling after demolition of the wall which was filled with drywall finished with a special technique to match the rest of our floating popcorn tiles ceiling. Demolished wall had two electrical outlets that were relocated on the other walls. New room is intended to be a dining room in our office and it’s connected to our kitchen. Part of the project was to install a new swing door. At the beginning the door had some details that could’ve been done better. We communicated our concerns about it and the next day they came to redo the installation, fix the problems and meet our requirements.
We would definitely recommend
