Washington Fence Installers Reviews
It took about 3 weeks to deliver, but we were not in a rush given this occurred over the holidays.
They arrived early in morning on Wed and removed existing fence and started putting in posts. Everything was great until I noticed that they were installing the slats vertically (vs horizontally, which is what we ordered and was delivered). The foreman said since our yard wasnt leveled, that installing it horizontally was not possible. I was dumbfounded by this statement, since the sales guy said nothing of this when he came out and made the initial estimate/proposal. I spent the next couple of hours trying to get a hold of the sales guy. In the mean time, the work crew did some clean of the yard, but ultimately, they had to stop work because they did not want to proceed until we had an agreeable plan. The crew left right after lunch, since I was not able to reach anyone who could assist with the matter. I finally got a call from the sales manager and crew supervisor that afternoon asking if they could come to the site and evaluate the situation. I was glad that this matter was finally escalated to proper folks to get this resolved.
They came by and said that the team could install horizontal slats, but the slats would not be completely leveled if we wanted to follow the elevation of the yard. I told them this was actually what we wanted to do, since we were purchasing the fence in anticipation of getting a dog in the future. The crew supervisor said that he would come out on Friday morning to make sure that the foreman knew what the plan was. I took Friday off just to make sure that everything was in order and hoping that they would get it finished in one day (as originally estimated by foreman).
As it turns out, they were not able to complete the job on Fri. It seems that the original plan/order was not sufficient to complete the job.
So instead of 2 days to install, it turned out to be almost a week to get the project done. I was not in a rush, so the delay was more of annoyance than anything else. The same goes with the "misquote". Working in the service industry, I understand that these things happen. I have hired other vendors for other projects (eg bathroom renovation, kitchen refacing, etc) and I have encountered larger delays, costs overruns, and quality issues of materials used.
After nearly two months now, the fence has withstood heavy winds without budging. In addition, it is beautiful! We really appreciated
Since there is no access to the back of the house through an about a week to get everything done, including demolition of the old fence, putting down posts while working around the existing deck, installing lighting, a gate at the back, and replacing rotten boards in my deck that they found.
The new fence looks great and the price was very reasonable.
We really appreciated the personalized service and honest advice
We would definitely recommend
