"Short version: I would use
and Fence again in a heartbeat.
and his crew were professional, prompt, and courteous. From estimate to" job completion, we were extremely satisfied. Our old fence was leaning badly in part because previous owners had failed to build a retaining wall where one was needed, and the fence was effectively doing that job.
was honest that he could build a new fence in the old one's place for less money, but that we would very soon experience the same problem. He clearly explained pros and cons of our various options, from type of fence to materials, and was also prompt in providing his bid for services. We found his prices to be very reasonable as compared with other bids -- from companies whom, may I add, did NOT detect or share the obvious retaining wall issue with us.
at Ace's office was extremely responsive and helpful as well, including in obtaining permits, as well as working with us when we hit a snag with some neighbors. The crew was very professional from start to finish, and also did a great job of cleaning up the lot after the job was complete -- important to us with two young children and two dogs. I would recommend
and Ace to everyone, and actually intend to call them again soon for another smaller project.

"We were extremely pleased with Ace from the very beginning.
was responsive and came out to provide a quote in a timely fashion. He was honest, knowledgable and" didn't try to up-sell us at all.
provided detailed quotes with clear pricing for 2 different projects at our home. We decided to move forward with the fence project, and
and his team were a pleasure to work with. They worked quickly and efficiently building the fence. When contacted after completion about a couple loose boards, they were back quickly to remedy the issue. The fence is beautiful as well! We have plans to proceed with another project with Ace later this year. We have worked with numerous contractors who truly struggle to provide good service combined with good, honest customer service, but Ace has succeeded at perfecting the combination.

was great to work with. I was probably a bit of a pain, but he was very accommodating and worked with me to tweak the design a bit to give me what I wanted." He was fair in our dealings. The work was performed quickly and was done well. I'd consider myself a bit demanding as a DIY-type, and
with
got it done right. Very happy customer here.

I would say depends on several things:

1) what % of the job is $400 ?

2) how good is the warranty - against all types of failure, or what - cedar fences usually fail in one of two ways - tornado/hurricane/waves/flood/car collision takes them out, or the posts (if not treated timber) rot out. The fence itself will change color and get fuzzy as it weathers, but should last 15-20 years in most areas.

3) generally, a fence is not something you would pay for a warranty on - if properly put up and with concreted-in copper chromate or copper napthalate treated posts (the green preservative) should last a long time and not need warranty work basically till the fasteners fail or the fence slat boards split too badly.

4) if I was going to spend extra money on a wood fence, it would be for a good quality penetrating sealer, not steel posts.

replaced our poorly-constructed gate that had started to sag and warp just after a year. This gate was my nightmare--every few weeks I would have to discover some new technique for how to actually get it open. Also, because the gate had no lock, it lead to my motorcycle being easily stolen from backyard. So, I hated the thing....More /> I found
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
on Angie's List, and I can say that they absolutely live up to their solid A reviews.

was great to work with. He was prompt in returning my initial call for a quote, and all my other calls after that. When we initially spoke on the phone, I described what was happening with our current gate and how I envisioned a new gate working. Just from my description over the phone,
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
knew right off the bat the best options for replacement. Once he saw our current gate in person, he know noticed the problems with its construction immediately. I appreciate that he gave me a thorough overview of how the gate should've been properly built. He gave me two options that I could proceed with--a straight, proper rebuild of the wood gate, or a sturdier, though more expensive, steel framed gate. Given that I wanted a strong gate that would last, we decided to go with the steel frame gate. I couldn't be happier. This gate is so, so much easier to work with then the old gate and it looks a thousand times better, too.
I am very pleased with the service

came out for an estimate, was on time and professional. They installed the fence on the day I wanted it to be installed (which was faster than they normally would). They hauled away the old fence and installed about 60 feet of new fence in less than a full day. The fence looks great. The materials they used were of high quality and the installation was thorough and well done. The crew worked hard and barely took any breaks. I thought the price was a little high but the quality is very good. I appreciated that the crew asked me/confirmed what I wanted in each aspect. It was a standard shaped yard but it has some quirks that they dealt with without a problem. Cleaned up when they were done.

Overall, I had a great experience with this company.
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
came out to do the estimate and he was very professional and efficient. He was able to answer some questions I had about structure and installation of the fence as well as city regulations and I liked that he did not try to pressure me to consider more ornate designs since I told him I wanted something very
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
. He had the estimates to me within a few days which included an Angie's list discount and was by far the best price we were quoted for the product we wanted.
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
arranged all the logistics with me via email and all of the permitting and utilities marking went very smoothly. She was also able to work around my schedule for installation, which was really helpful. The installers arrived pretty early in the morning on the day I expected them and they got all the work done by early-afternoon. I had some herbs and tomatoes growing right along where the fence was to be installed and the workers were very careful to minimize any damage to the plants. The only problem I ran into was that about a month after the fence was installed, I noticed a couple spots in the welding with some rust. I contacted
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
, who was very responsive as usual, and she had someone come out to fix those spots within the week. The fence looks great and I'm very happy with the end results.

We signed up for Angie's list because we were tired of dealing with contractors who were no shows. We contacted
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
and Fence for an estimate and set up a two-hour window for an appointment. The only appointment they had available was 5 weeks out, but we just wanted a deck so we agreed. I spoke with a receptionist two days before
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
was supposed to arrive to confirm the place and time. I asked if
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
would be able to come on the earlier side of the window, but said I could be flexible, and she offered to have
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
call me 30 min before he arrived. I agreed that would be helpful.
I left work during the middle of the day to meet
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
at my house. I waited at home for two hours with no word from him. I called Ace's home office and they were not able to put me through to him.
People have clearly had different experiences than me, but I would never recommend a company that expects me to take two hours out of my workday and then fails to show up. At the very least,
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
could have called.

and his staff are true craftsmen and have been in the ironworking business in DC for several generations. I had them build a fence and front gate around the garden of my DC rowhouse. Their pricing was exactly on par with quotes from two other local ironworkers, but their attention to detail likely sets them apart from others. They made sure to get the details exactly as I wanted, and the finished product is solidly constructed and elegantly designed.

and his crew from
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
. did a wonderful job installing the cedar fence around our yard. Our lot has a significant slope from back to front which presented some challenges for installing a horizontal board fence - so much so that a couple companies said they would not even attempt a horizontal fence. But
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
worked with us knowing that we really wanted the horizontal boards and he came up with solutions for accommodating the grade changes. The crew was meticulous about getting all the boards level and equidistant apart.
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
was very professional and reasonably priced. And in order to make-up for winter weather delays they even worked on the weekend to complete the fence on time.
Washington Fence Installers Provider Name Locked
has been very responsive regarding a follow up issue with the gates. We love the fence and receive many compliments on the fence including from our landscape designer who was very impressed by the workmanship. We would definitely recommend
