"Mr. took inside and outside measurements, and cut the hole outside and inside the closet exactly as I requested. The hole is exactly square and the drywall cutout was re-purposed as an interior access panel to improve the appearance of the final installation. I am BEYOND pleased. Will certainly use his services again."

"Being that the tasks involved carpentry, electrical, and construction skills, we reckoned it made sense to hire to tackle all of them at once rather than hire several individual service providers. The work was completed in 6 hours over two consecutive days by . He arrived precisely on time each day and picked up some needed supplies at Home Depot on his own time overnight so as to save us time on the clock. All of the work was done quickly and skillfully, was a real professional throughout. We were very pleased with the results on all of the individual tasks and we anticipate hiring them again for future projects. Happily recommended. "

"The estimate was too high. When I asked whether they could do something for cheaper (i.e., cheaper construction materials for the railing), he said that I should get a handyman to do the work instead, and that he didn't want to haggle over a couple hundred dollars. It's fair that the work was small scale, so I could understand his not wanting to do it. But his and demeanor made me not want to work with him again."

"The plumber did an excellent job explaining the options and fixing the problem. They showed up on a Saturday and stopped the leak and then fixed it the following Wednesday, then they repaired the holes in the drywall and replaced the ceiling.
My dissatisfaction comes from their pricing. According to State Farm they overcharged me by over 300% for the drywall work. Since I needed the work done immediately so my tenant could occupy the bedroom, I was over a barrel. I chose not to have them paint the small bedroom for which they wanted $475 or twice what State Farm pays."

"We bought a fixer-upper about a year ago. and his team helped make it a home. From the moment we met , he worked with us to achieve the results we wanted, in the timeline we wanted, at a price we could afford. and his team are hardworking, knowledgeable, talented, and delightful to work with. We consider them members of the family and would confidently place our trust in them for any future projects.
We were looking to save money on our renovation and chose to do as much work ourselves as possible. We discovered and his team through Angie's List and brought them in to do the big projects we didn't feel comfortable doing ourselves -- like taking out a load bearing wall and some major electical and plumbing adjustments. We ended up calling on them to help us with a host of other projects along the way, including some drywall and painting work, and they were were on site at a moment's notice when we had an unexpected (and gross) plumbing issue. Not only did they do the work we asked of them well and at a good price, but they were patient with us when we asked questions or made adjustments. They also went above and beyond the call of duty, giving us advice on projects we were struggling to do on our own. We wouldn't be where we are today without them. They have also since done some excellent tiling work for a friend. You would be lucky to have them do any work on your home."

"It went really good. I liked the personal touch. It is just him and his wife who run the company. You get really personal attention. I didn't like the fact that he was sub-contracting pieces of the job. I worked out, but generally it isn't a good thing. "

" supervised all that his workers did. He was friendly, helpful and professional;obviously taking pride in his work. He went out of his way to be sure all was done well, including going himself to purchase light fixtures. The finished attic was left clean and ready for carpeting. One concern was that it was obvious that his initial estimate was lower than the job entailed, example: four small doors to crawl spaces need to be removed and trimmed at the bottom so that they would open when the new carpeting installed; also all the baseboards needed to be replaced. I added a bit to the estimate figure and was happy to do so. When i use him again I will keep that in mind."

" 's principal, Kazeem " " met first met us on a weekend appointment for a cost estimate. is a former corporate accountant who relocated from London ( ) to the DC area several years ago to get started in home remodeling. Unlike other general contractors we had interviewed, displayed effective communication skills, wasn't an aggressive salesman, and appeared eager to help us find a solution to for our remodeling goals. In fact, he appeared to take quite a bit of time up-front considering options and understanding our objectives before he was willing to discuss estimates. After several consultations did provide us a cost-estimate that we believed to be very reasonable given the scope of work being requested.
After signing a contract to work with for our remodeling project, we were very pleased to see the punctuality of his crew. After a negative experience with another general contractor, we were also reassured that would stop by after his crew left to brief us on any changes to the work breakdown structure or discoveries during demolition. We continually felt like provided us ample amounts of communication to feel confident in the process. This was a very important quality to us as we generally find home remodeling to be an inconvenient and disruptive process. So our being able to understand timetables was important to our feeling better about the delivery schedule and set expectations.
Moreover, 's crew of two were very professional and always on time. One day they stayed an extra 4 hours to ensure that the project was finished on schedule. Both my wife and I were impressed with both how hard they worked an the quality of the result.
At the end, we believe that the workmanship has definitely increased the value of our home.
We would use again, and will use them again for our next project which we're planning for Spring 2011."

"Since this was my first major remodeling project in my home, I was anxious about the process. Mr. came on several occasions and explained the steps he would need to accomplish what I wanted. He listened to my ideas as to what I expected. He made suggestions as to how to improve the look of my enclosed room. He and his workers were professional and always on time. Had to do some extras because of the age of the home but let me know ahead of time what needed to be done. Cost was a big factor so he kept me aware as to the price of anything extra outside of the contract. Not really sure how to make a comparison with regard to price, but it looks wonderful and I am pleased. Certainly plan to use his company for my bathroom projects."

"The only from using Contracting is that each project will be so professional and painless that you will be tempted to give them another job...and then another. They arrived on time, paid attention to my instructions, and went to work. They worked fast and hard, and cleaned up fully afterward. I left them alone in the house during the day: no problem. I often found them still there at 7:00 pm, in order to complete a phase. They wanted to work every weekend. Although there was a lot of dust, they worked hard to protect the furniture, avoided breakage completely, and generally took excellent care of my house, my furniture, and my belongings. When my instructions caused an error that they couldn't at the beginning (bad choice of paint color or, please, just one more speaker outlet), they re-did the job without fuss or expense. I am still finding little unasked-for favors that they did: a repaired door handle, cleaned up grouting, a new wall switch, a hatch to seal and protect the attic skylight. The electrical work was flawless and the painting and plastering to cover the holes was so good that I decided to have them paint the whole interior. The roof has never been so water-tight or the gutters so free-flowing. The new fixtures in both bathrooms were installed exactly as I wanted. There was no quibbling over the bill or receipts for materials. The superviser, brother , was there whenever I needed him and ran a tight ship. Bottom line: these were major projects and they went more easily than I could have imagined. doesn't know it yet, but I have more projects waiting for them...."
