did an excellent job. I found that most, if not all, granite companies advertise a low price, like $30 a square foot, but there are a lot of additional costs (plumbing work, new sink, faucet etc.).
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
did this too, but the additional costs were lower than the other companies. They have a moderate selection of granite colors. The process took some time -- the measurer came out (had to come out twice in my case), the account exec. worked with me on the final price and options, and the granite was cut and installed. The measurer was kind of stern, but he was super-detailed oriented. The account exec.,

as standard (it's an upgrade for all the other companies I saw). Their price for plumbing was also reasonable (others were outrageous!). A few minor complaints: at one point, I couldn't get
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
to call me back. I left two messages over two weeks and the third time I finally got him on the phone; he didn't say anything about why he didn't call. The installers didn't clean up as well as I wished. They say they will leave the place "broom clean," but they left debris in my back patio and dust in the interior of my cabinets. The floor got very dirty as it was snowing that day, and they tracked in snow and water. But, overall, a good experience. I would use them again for kitchen cabinets.

"I first visited Pyramid based on reviews from Angie's List. The staff was friendly and helpful and not too pushy or "hard sell". The first visit was really to see their selection and compare price per square foot to other retailers on slabs I generally liked. I found their prices to be lower (up to $5/sq foot in some cases) compared to other companies. When I decided to hire Pyramid, I returned three more times to look at granite and take home samples. We finally selected a beautiful

granite. We put down a deposit ($500.00) to hold two slabs until our contractor had the base cabinets installed so Pyramid could come to our home and measure. Measurement was scheduled.

arrived on time as scheduled and thoroughly measured the space. After he left, our contractor discovered the need to push the center peninsula out about 2 inches due a plumbing issue. We called

back and he made the appropriate changes. Installation occured at the scheduled date and time without issue. I was very concerned that the change in measurement for the penisula granite would not be correct since we did this over the phone. It fit perfectly!! My only issue during the install was that the crew did not speak English. One member spoke broken English and at times I felt like there was a communication gap. He indicated he needed cut a portion of the drywall to install. I understood him to mean that he would probably knick/

part of the drywall due to the tight space. Instead, he took a screwdriver and literally chiseled out a section of the wall along the horizontal line of the granite. I never fully understood the need for this as the granite appeared to align well with the wall. Ultimately, my contractor fixed the wall damage at no extra cost as part of painting the kitchen. I also liked their price structure: A deposit to hold the granite slab, a percent due at time of measurement and balance due at time of installation. In the end, our granite looks amazing!! And my overall experience with Pyramid was positive. I would definitely use them again.

"I had a great experience with
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
and felt very comfortable with them being in my small condo for 8 weeks. I did a lot of research on contractors because as a young single woman I was worried of being taken advantage of; some contractors do not have experience working in condos but

Kitchens coordinated well with my building management. They were very fair and took the time needed to create an amazing kitchen. I showed them my own design and they made some helpful suggestions for improvements and did not try to upsell me with more expensive products. My only suggestion is to add 2 weeks to their time estimate but the delay didn't bother me because they did such good work. About 3 months after completion I had a problem with a cabinet door and

sent someone out the next day to fix it. I hope to use them for my bathroom renovation in the future.

"In April 2010, I contacted
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
regarding a significant upgrade to my
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
, DC home. My experience with the company has been incredibly frustrating, and we have yet to come to an agreement. During the initial visits by a company representative, I was continually pushed to try and agree to unwanted and expensive renovations. In June 2010, and after three previous visits, the technician and I were finally able to agree upon the scope and price of the job. From this agreement, the technician and I signed a contract for approximately $21,000 to remodel my kitchen and install a half bathroom. As a condition of the contract, I surrendered a deposit of 1/3 of the agreed upon price. After an additional week passed, I was visited by another representative of the company to review the contractual work order and schedule the job. About a month passed and I did not hear from Capital, so I contacted the company to find out when they would be starting the work. They kept giving me the run around and kept telling me I would be called back by the manager. This went on for a week before I finally got in contact with the manager who inform me the price indicated in our previously signed contract would need to be adjusted, and that we would need to arrange a visit. During this visit, I was informed the price for the job had almost doubled, (total sales price $39,995) though there were no revisions to the scope of the work or any identified and previously unknown structural issues. The representative from
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
then proceeded to inform me that the company would assume liability for the majority of the price increase through discounts, and that I would only be responsible for an additional $8,000, 38 percent above of the price agreed upon and indicated in a signed contract which was signed by me and the representative at my home. I was told the representative does not have binding authority and the company never accepted the original contract. Further, if I wanted to get the work completed I would have to come up with the additional money before they were able to start the work. I was also informed by one of the phone representatives, if I wanted to get out of the contract at this point, they would have to keep my 1/3 deposit because they had already started to order the items. After numerous calls and a lot of frustration, the increase in the price then changed to $6,700 (not sure why or how). When I asked what the increase was for they told me they did not account for the new plumbing in the bathroom and that the original representative who came to my home made a mistake in his pricing. I decided, I can wait on the half bathroom but wanted to still get the kitchen. I then had them write up the numbers for the kitchen alone. Get this, and you tell me if this makes any sense to you, the price still increased $2,200 dollars over the original without the half bathroom. In addition to
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
?s contract being seriously underestimated, the company practiced overtly deceitful tactics by continually delaying the process and using multiple representatives to communicate obvious inconsistencies. I am not even sure if the new price is consistant with the price when I had the half bathroom.

"Good prices and professional service. On the first appointment for measuring they arrived late and it took over a week to schedule our installation, which put back our completion schedule, but otherwise it was a good experience. The guys who did the actual installation were excellent and did a beautiful job."

"This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I liked what I saw on Angie's list so I drove out to the Pyramid warehouse. Tsogo was extremely helpful and showed me 10-15 granite slabs in my price range. He was very knowledgeable about all things granite as well as kitchen sinks and fixtures. After I chose the granite and gave him the measurements, he worked up an extremely fair price with discounts on the plumbing work, demolition and sink. They came out within a few days to take the measurements, and then they were able to install within a few days of the measurements! The quality of the countertops and sink are excellent and the workmanship is superb. I hardly had to touch up any spots on the walls with paint (usually you have to retouch the whole length of the backsplash), and they were so careful that none of the existing tile under which they had to fit the backsplash was damaged at all. I also want to mention that there was one little spot on a small piece of backsplash that I didn't like. It was just a natural part of the stone- nothing related to the quality of the materials or workmanship- but I didn't like how it looked. Pyramid came back out with a replacement piece within a week with no extra charge. I really appreciated their effort to ensure I was 110% satisfied with the work, and I am! I would recommend them to anyone."

"Husband picked the granite, talked to the salesman a few times, negotiated the price and set a time/date for measurements within a few days. After they measured it took 7 days to get the granite cut and installed. Installation took a few hrs. The guys were good, they had a little trouble with the drop in sink (b/c cutting for drop ins takes place on site), but other than that it went very smoothly. I thought they were great. Much better than Home Depot or other installers that would take weeks to show up. The counters look amazing. I love it. "

"I just moved here so I was not in a particular hurry to get the renovation done. Being flexible works best with this company because they are small and so busy. Once we got scheduled (which was several months) the actual work took about 4 weeks; would have been shorter but one of the cabinets came in with the wrong dimension.

was very thoughtful about leaving the old fridge for as long as possible so I could live in the apt. He was also very patient when I decided I didn't like the wood floor and he had to pull up the half he started and replace with tile. The quality of the work is outstanding and I have complete faith in their reliability on things like plumbing and electrical. The crew was exceedingly polite and received great praise from my building manager for being very cooperative on things like parking and cleanup. They kept my apartment clean and neat during the process and they paid attention to little details. I would highly recommend Holdfast Inc. and would hire them again myself. It was fun working with them. There are times in any renovation when things get tense because big decisions have to be made and big sums of money get laid out.
Washington Countertop Installers Provider Name Locked
understood that and stayed in good contact. You need to be pretty much hands-on with all the choices, going out to the showrooms, etc. So do it when you can afford that time. In the end, my kitchen not only looks great, but it works great too.

and his team are THE BEST. He promptly replied to my inquiries (within 2 hours of getting his name from angies list.!!..). He worked with me and gave me advice all along the way. I wanted a very modern look - concrete, stainless steel, cork floors and he provided excellent direction on pros/cons and options. He started the job just before Christmas - and I was away for most of the work - he sent me regular updates on progress, and I returned to a brand new kitchen. A few minor hiccups - not enought cork flooring and 2 of the cabinet doors had to be re-ordered, but he was great about getting these minor things fixed - he even came late one evening to complete the cork installation so that the kitchen would be ready for guests later that evening.
