Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Reviews

Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team did an excellent job on our backyard renovation project. We initially hired him just for a garage renovation that required a crumbling brick wall to be demolished and replaced, roof replacement, new windows/doors, electricity installed and new concrete slab. He reconstructed our brick wall with cinderblock to make it stronger, then put a brick facade on the outside so it matched the rest of the garage.
Although he initially came in higher in price, he competed against two other bids we had received and reduced the price while maintaining his promise to provide higher quality service. Overall, he was the best value. He was very responsive and kept us informed of the status of the project, letting us know when they were applying for permits, when they would begin construction and how long until they would be finished. In addition, he completed the work in a timely manner with the whole thing being done in about 2 weeks. We were very pleased with the finished product and are excited to have a nicely finished garage.
We were so pleased with his work on the garage that we hired him again two weeks later to build two retaining walls that we quickly realized may be too complicated for a DIY project. He also removed an old concrete patio for us. He immediately knocked off $1500 the price of the wall for being a repeat customer, which was nice. He again did a great job on the walls and the project only took about 2 days. We would definitely recommend

in the future.
"I had a superb experience with them.
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
was wonderful to work with: friendly, professional, responsive, informative, and punctual. She understood what I was looking for and was great to work with on the design, and once the work began she took care of absolutely everything. She couldn't have made things easier for me.
"First and foremost is
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
's communication, which is excellent. During the initial estimate he called and setup an appointment very quickly. He was on time and provided a full written estimate the next day and even followed up several weeks later. While not the cheapest estimate I received, I chose
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
because in talking to him I felt confident that he could handle the job. Once construction began
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
was constantly in communication with me with at least a daily update if not more so. I really appreciated that he was always in communication with me. I tried to be on site as much as possible but when I had to be elsewhere I knew that if there were any questions that I would receive a call and be able to make a decision vs just having it done without notice.
I was also impressed with

crews. The excavation crew managed to finish the excavation ahead of schedule which was surprising considering the small working space and the fact that they could only fit a bobcat/mini excavator down the
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
. The masonry/concrete crew did something that I was pleasantly surprised by. As any good owner should do I would check the work being performed as frequently as I could. The architectural plans for the footers called for 1' deep by 2' wide footers placed 1' below grade. When I checked their work every dimension was exactly right or a little over. For example the footers were actually 1'3" deep by 2'4" wide and exactly 1' below grade. The little overages let me relax knowing that the work that I couldn't check would probably be over-built instead of under-built. The rebar was installed correctly and the walls were filled with concrete. The pouring of the pad was also a class act. This was a pretty massive pad and they did the entire pour without issue.
Another validation of the quality of construction was 4 weeks after the job was completed I had a roll-up door installed. They needed to cut though a portion of the footers that had been installed so they could pour their own footers for the door. The concrete poured was so hard and well reinforced that breaking though took 3 x longer than usual (This is what the door contractor told me).
As with any construction job where you don't have a professional GM to oversee the operation you have to be on top of it and there we're several points where I made corrections that the building plans didn't make clear. That being said the quality of the work was very good and I'm very satisfied.

and his team were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We met with quite a few contractors for this project and felt
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
was the one who had the best understanding of what we were trying to do. He was prompt with his bid, came in at a great price and had all the details covered. It was an easy choice to use
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
(PHS) for our basement remodeling project.
The project itself was a complete remodel of the basement in our 100 year old row house.
The PHS team turned our completely unfinished cave in a wonderful living space. This work included:
- Framing out a great room, two closets (one under the stairs), an unfinished storage space and a bathroom. - Repair of cracks and craters in the concrete floor. - New stairs with a white risers and dark finished treads. - Moving of gas lines so they did not pass through the finished space. - Some repair on the existing duct work, as well as incorporation of duct system into the basement design. - Soffits around the hanging duct work and plumbing lines running along the ceiling. - Pointing up of a brick wall to prepare for priming and paining. - Construction of a custom built-in shelving unit built to our specifications. - new electric and recessed lighting throughout. - Drywall, trim, new doors, painting and carpet installation. - New tile floors in the laundry area and bathroom. - Installation of new tub, vanity, shower tile, toilet and all bathroom fixtures. From start to finish the PHS team was great with all aspects of the project. There was never a time where i couldn't contact either
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
or our project manager with questions or comments. Our project manager often made it a priority to meet with us intermittently to discuss progress, challenges, questions and next steps, as well as getting our input on how to proceed in various areas. there were quite a few things they completed that were above and beyond the scope of the contract. their goal was for us to be happy with the end product. We love our new basement and the couldn't be happier with the job PHS did.
"I contacted
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
on 09/09/2013 to provide an estimate to repair crumbling and deteriorating concrete thresholds (step) to two front entrances of adjoining townhouse units and to repair three concrete steps in rear of the units.
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
's estimate for me (an "Angie's List" customer) was $1,950 - using #5 rebar. Another Angie's List Service Provider, C&N Construction, quoted $1,100 for same job, using #4 rebar. I selected C&N Construction to do my concrete project.
"Initial consult to review project and get the details was repeated a second time, didn't seem to have accurate notes from the first meeting. However that was preferable to a crew showing up to do the job without the right preparation. As I was ordering materials myself and needed to know accurate quantities, I had several questions to be confirmed in order to get this right. I didn't get much assistance in this area but fortunately it was not a complex design.
Crew showed up on time to start the project, worked quickly to get retaining wall built and foundation laid. Assisted with lumber delivery and finished the deck promptly. Quality of work was very good, a few minor aesthetic things that weren't up to perfectionist standards, but very good overall.
Due to the varied lengths of the boards for the fence, we ended up being 3 boards short and awaiting new delivery to finish. Scheduling was a little slower getting back out to finish the job, and did not have materials for stair railing we discussed, which meant another long delay for me to find and order those supplies, and then getting someone to come back out to finish the job (close to 2 weeks before they could come). Communication and response was not great.
The work was well done (with some supervision to ensure the design was accurately followed).

came out to take a look at the steps and to schedule a date to start the work. We scheduled September 6th as the date to do the job. I took the day off and waited for them to show up. At 8:44 AM I called
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to verify that they were still coming. He apologized and told me that his guys were still tied up on a kitchen project. He set up another date for September 10th at 8:00AM. On the 10th, the workers showed up at 9:15 AM. They finished at 6:17 PM One of the workers said the steps would be dry by 4 PM the next day. When I checked the steps the next day at 6PM they were dry but uneven. The second step slopes backward so that when you step on it, it feels like you are about to fall back off the step. The bottom step is now lower than the other two steps (not the correct height). I called
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
on 9/12/13 to tell him about the problem and he asked me to email him a picture (which I did on 9/13/13). On 9/18/13 I texted him and asked if he had a
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to check my steps so the problems could be fixed. He texted back and said yes he checked and will send his employees to make repairs and not to worry. I asked to get a date and he said he will try tomorrow. Well, tomorrow (Sept. 19th) came and went. I am going to have to hire a another contractor to fix their mistake.
"The project went very well. The drainage problem I've been having had been getting progressively worse over the years, and it was time to deal with it as my basement has flooded several times during heavy storms.
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up right on time on the day of the estimate. He was thorough, and unlike most of the other estimators that came out (I got 5 estimates total), he was willing to listen to what I had to say about the problem. Everyone seemed to have a different idea of how to fix the problem, but I think
Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
came up with the most logical solution at a fair price. I even cancelled a sixth estimate I had scheduled because I was so comfortable in choosing

Washington Concrete Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
was also quick to write up another estimate when I asked for pricing about a replacement sump pump and battery backup.
The workers arrived on time and completed the work neatly and efficiently. The project foreman,

, was polite and answered any questions I had about the scope of the project. A good portion of my backyard had to be dug up, but aside from the new channel drain I had installed, you really couldn't tell they were there. They cleaned up very well and even put the grass back.

was diligent enough to come back out to the house to inspect the work and be sure I was happy with what had been done. I highly recommend
