"Our appointment was scheduled between 9:30 and 11:30am. Two technicians arrived at 10:30am and were extremely pleasant and professional. They conducted the inspection and carefully explained how we had little buildup and didn't require a sweep at this time. Our home had recently undergone an extensive renovation and the fireplace hadn't been used in 2 years.

the technician suggesting that our first fire should be small in order to allow the liner and chimney to heat up slowly. He also answered my various questions about the possibility of birds/squirrels getting in the chimney, etc. (I don't know the other technician's name but he was very nice, too.) I believe the price for Level I inspection is lower during other months, and I felt the $109 price was reasonable for December. I was extremely pleased with the service and will definitely use

"We were very satisfied with

and his company. We knew that we had an issue with the chimney bricks and they would need to be partly re-built. Another company looked at it and said we had to also replace the liner and do some other work (around $3,000).

told us that the first need was to replace the caps (which were missing - we're in a new house). He looked at the liner and said it didn't need replacing. We had him do the caps that day and scheduled a time for him to do the brick work and the dryer vent. (He didn't push the dryer vent, we saw that they do it on the invoice and asked him.) The dryer dries much better now. Also

prices are very reasonable compared to other companies. I gave the company a "B" on a couple items only because the work site was a bit messy afterwards - but not bad. We will definitely use them again.

"Initially, there was a scheduling glitch, but after we got over that, the workmen were very prompt and efficient. It was very apparent that they knew what they were doing and how it should be done. They answered all of my questions. It's great to see people who take pride in their work."

"It was an excellent experience. His name was

. He was honest and did what he said he was going to do. He actually made a mistake on the price and it was fairly significant, but he kept to his word, except for the drywall damage that he had to repair. He was excellent in opening up fireplaces. I have an old 19th century townhouse in the city. I had contacted several contractors about opening up my fireplaces. He did it at a very reasonable price. His work was professional and his people were good. I was very pleased with him and happy to have my fireplaces before the snow. He will come back every year to do my chimney sweep. It was quite a messy job but they were pretty neat. They did the job in the time that they promised. He was a good person to work with."

Chimneys was great!
Washington Chimney Repair Services Provider Name Locked
showed up on time for the estimate, and even helped us solve an unrelated problem with the cause of some water penetration in an upstairs wall, which he identified as a result of the neighbor's gutter being plugged up resulting the water overflowing and seeping through our brick exterior. He unplugged their downspout to solve this (thanks!). As for the chimney work itself, the 2-man crew was on time, and completed the entire job in about 4 hours. New liner is great and the work on the brick looks very good from what I can tell. Their price was very competitive, and the communication was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again if I have any future chimney issues."

"They came when they said and gave us an estimate. It seemed high so when we called back, they realized that they had quoted the wrong thing and downsized it considerably. Everything they did was extremely professional and the people were great. Scheduling was no problem as

"It was excellent from start to finish. They gave me a free estimate. I scheduled an appointment and they came promptly to do the work. We had just bought the house and had a home inspection done.

"They didn't do a very good job on the mortar of the bricks. It got all over the bricks and it didn't make the bricks red like they were suppose to. They put a patch over the damaged part of the chimney and then they were suppose to cover it. When it hadn't been covered for a while, I asked them about it, and they told me that the stuff they were suppose to cover it with wasn't available anymore. I thought, "Wow,
Washington Chimney Repair Services Provider Name Locked
when were you going to tell me that little detail?" They didn't do a very good job.

"Great job. They responded promptly to the original inquiry, gave us reference sites to visit to inspect in-progress and completed work, did the work quickly and professionally and on schedule, and cleaned up neatly during the job and afterward. The wall looks great - it's too bad that it's in a private

and not at the front of our house where we can show it off. On their way out on the last day, they also did an impromptu fill-in of a gap that had formed between our brick front steps and the brick front wall of the house. That last bit was completely outside the scope and they easily could have declined to help or charged us for it. Again, great job all around."

"They were very professional and took alot of time to do the job. They stuck to their original estimate even though their was alot more work than what they thought when it came to cleaning the flu. I am very pleased with the work."
