"Totaly happy very neat and alsway on time. owner shows up everyday to check on progress. Workers on on time and very neat and polite taking time to put down drop clothes to protect floors and plastic to help stop dust. Gave a time frame of 10 days and done in 8. Did it within the budget of the quote even though some rotten wood was found and had to be replaced. They did all the work themselve not hiring any sub contractors. Very professonial workers and experienced in plumbing, electrical and ceramic tile work

"We
negotiated our contract with Pat
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, wife of the president of
the company, who served as salesperson for
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
of
Kempsville Contracting Services, Inc.
Following
the selection of materials and cabinets and the drafting of a
remodeling plan by Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
, a contract was presented for our
review. We requested that additional clauses be added to address the
kitchen lighting, countertop dimensions, and the cabinets in the
laundry room.
We
noticed an inconsistency between the contact and the plan concerning
the kitchen lighting and brought it to Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
's attention. She
offered a solution to the dilemma which included one additional
light and an arrangement with which we concurred. A verbal agreement
was reached without rewriting that clause in the contract. We trusted
her. The contract was signed with Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
's assurance and
promise that the contract and the verbal agreement would be complied
with during the remodeling process.
That
would not prove to be the case. Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
's assurances were not
fulfilled by Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his crews.
The
contract states that all changes must be presented in writing and
mutually agreed upon before the change can take place. The contract
was violated in numerous areas including:
1.
The two cabinets in the laundry room were changed from 24 inch deep
cabinets to 12 inch deep ones without consent of the owners as
dictated by the contract.
2.
The specific dimensions of the countertop as inserted in the contract
were ignored by Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and/or his sub-contractor constituting a
change in the contract. The owner's permission was never sought
therefore the change to the contract was unauthorized.
3.
The verbal agreement concerning the kitchen lighting was not
acknowledged by Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
during the remodeling. (It had never
been written for presentation to the owners for their signature and
approval.) The final arrangement was neither the verbal agreement as
promised by Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
nor the arrangement of the lights as
indicated by the plan. The end result was a change not authorized by
the owners.
4.
A 30 inch base cabinet was replaced by a smaller one without
consultation with the owners. The remodeling plan had a flaw which
was not caught by Mr. or Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
before ordering the cabinets
from an out of town manufacturer. Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
explained when
questioned about the change that it was necessary to allow clearance
between the handle of a new dishwasher and a drawer at the 90 degree
corner where the dishwasher was to be installed. The end result-the
modification is undesirable and unacceptable. I would never have
agreed to the final arrangement if I had been consulted beforehand.
5.
An additional charge was added to the last billing which was never
agreed upon in writing as dictated by the contract.
There
are numerous other problems that KK left behind when they stopped
work. They have refused to complete a call back list including items
1 through 4 above as well as many others. The job was never
completed.
The
end result was that we did not receive a remodeling which conformed
to the promises and assurances as presented by Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. The
actual remodeling as installed by Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and his crews is quite
different. My dissatisfaction as registered both verbally and in
writing with KK has been ignored. My complaint with the Better
Business Bureau did not produce a return call from Mr. or Mrs.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. His response to BBB was that he was turning the matter over
to his attorney implying that the only response he will make will
have to be initiated by a court order.
We
trusted KK to fulfill the contract. They didn't. Little concern for
keeping the owners informed and involved in making decisions speaks
directly to their lack of regard for customer satisfaction.
I
would not recommend
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
of Kempsville Contracting
Services, Inc. for any remodeling project.

"I reached conceptual agreement with
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(CCB) on future construction of RV port in 2012. The project would require variance. Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(CCB) prepared design drawings that I submitted with my request for variance which was granted on November 7, 2012. I contracted CCB on December 21, 2012 to erect the RV port, a project that Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
projected would be completed in 6-8 work days; he projected start date February 18, 2013. Construction began on February 27, 2013. Subsequent delays and infrequent work, attributed to both CCB work force issues (Mr.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
fired one employee) and CCB's inability to execute their own production schedule caused the project to stretch for months, not days . Promises were abundant; production was not. During construction, CCB failed to build to the contract plan that, in part, contributed to an unstable structure. In addition, it became apparent the design was deficient. In August, the structure that had been erected was leaning (7 inches from vertical) and corrective action wasn't timely. I submitted the a BBB complaint (case # 48042324) on August 12, 2013. Subsequent to the BBB complaint submission, CCB effort to correct and complete the 6-8 day project increased. When CCB thought they were done, they called for VB planning/zoning inspection creating an uninformed inspection failure that required my intervention to provide the inspector correct information, enabling me to get CCB out of my hair. I evaluated the price as FAIR, which it would have been if the project had been completed within a month. It wasn't worth 7 months of aggravation.
CCB had previously done some good carpentry work for me, but that skilled craftsman left CCB before the RV port project started. The workforce assigned to this project failed to build to the plan.
All in all, 7 months of infrequent activity on this supposed 6-8 day project, mismanaged by CCB through demonstrated gross inability to execute their own production schedule resulting in a structure that doesn't conform to the contract plan. A real disappointment! CCB changed address to 7033 Corinth Chapel Rd, Suffolk, VA 23437 757-606-3061/757-537-9269.

"This review is well deserved and long overdue; hopefully
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
can forgive us.
In preparation for selling our home, my wife and I sought a contractor that could accomplish what we wanted with as few people coming in and out of the house as possible. We have four dogs, two of which are protective and I would not trust around strangers. This was a huge concern for my wife and I. Also, this project would require us to leave our home open to contractors while we are at work. We received three quotes from three different contractors, including VB Remodeling;
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was quick to meet with us at our convenience. He explained that he primarily works alone, although he may bring a helper from time to time as needed. He took time to help us figure out our best options based on the size and layout of the spaces we wanted remodeled. After discussing the projects with him, gaining a clear understanding of the process and expectations, seeing examples of previous projects online, and simply getting a good feeling about working with him, we chose VB Remodeling. Learning
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
are very much 'dog people' was icing on the cake, especially after seeing them interact with our dogs; we felt very comfortable that
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
were the right people for the job.
We paid the initial deposit to secure the contract in late February, which was $500.00 and was applied to the final cost of the remodel. This put us on the schedule as
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
already had work lined up before us. It was mid-May when work began, at which point we provided
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
with an additional check of $3000.00 to cover initial material costs. As work progressed,
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
would give us receipts of any additional materials needed, at which time we would reimburse him. He left it up to us whether we wanted to obtain the materials ourselves or have him pick up items as needed. We paid for labor upon completion of each room. We collaborated on which room
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
should start work, and he began with our master bathroom. He gave us an approximate completion time of two weeks for each room he was to work on, and he did a great job at staying with that schedule. He arrived around the same time each day - just as he said he would - and never once left us wondering when he would be coming back. If there was a particular day he would not be working on our project, he communicated that to us so we knew what to expect. We were pleased with their very consistent work schedule. With potential issues he would run into, such as framing, plumbing, etc., he was sure to address it with us before proceeding, giving us options on how he could correct the problem at hand.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
did a fantastic job keeping us informed of what he was doing, how long each task might take, and letting us know when he would be ready for the next room. Being that we were at work during most of these projects, we can say with complete confidence that we had no concerns for the security of our home and pets.
We have been VERY happy with all of the work that
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
have done to our home. We have received numerous compliments from guests about the work, particularly with our master bathroom. If there was any room of our house I could take with us when we move, it would absolutely be our master bathroom. One of the coolest features of that room was recommended by
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
. With the solar tube installed allowing natural light into the room,
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
pitched to us the idea of a plant shelf in the shower. I really wanted to bring the outdoors into the bathroom by using pebble mosaic around the earth
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
tile work. Adding a plant to the shower almost gives the feeling of showering in a cave. We REALLY love this bathroom.
We highly recommend VB Remodeling and could not imagine
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
turning out anything less than high quality work.

Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
was courteous, knowledgable and hardworking. He took time with the work and paid attention to detail. We used an odd size tile and he was able to design a nice pattern and made beautiful soap/shampoo boxes. He also repaired the damaged ceiling in our kitchen.
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
took care to clean up after he worked each day. We also appreciate that he was kind and friendly to the many children we have in our home and was also kind to his assistants, making the experience even more enjoyable. We liked that
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
walked us through every step and made sure we were pleased with the progress and work being done. All around great experience. Thanks

"Everything went well. I bought everything at Home Depot and had delivered to my house. The vanity was damaged. He got another one to save time from taking back and exchanging it. I was very satisfied with quality of work, efficiency and professionalism.
I had a few estimates done and I chose him because when he came to give me an estimate he advised me on some things I would
not have thought of myself.

"He's not done yet. The last time I saw him at my residence, he told me there was only two hours worth of work to do. That was in the August-September time frame. He has not returned yet. This after he was paid in full by my landlord. While doing the job, he was getting business from one of my neighbors. I allowed him to use my computer to do his business figuring he would finish the job afterwards. Instead, he said he had to leave and would be back the next day, assuring there were only two hours of work left. Have not seen him since except out in town. I approached him about this issue and he did not confirm a time. He does do good work and for reasonable prices. He is just unreliable. He has done work here before completing it but skipped days without letting me know what was up.

"**Worse possible experience could have imagined**
I've been active duty military for 19 years. Even though I was articulate in beginning with work needed performed and expectations, the contract was vague and allowed for shortcuts to be taken. This also allowed
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
to continue badgering me for additional money which he called "additional work" which never would get performed.
Quality of work performed was subpar. I had to personally become the general contractor and arrange rework of electrical and plumbing problems found by city inspectors (out of my pocket). Further, the framing performed required extensive rework prior to installing insulation and drywall. All of these conditions were well documented but ability to get
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
or
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
on site to make fixes went unresolved.
To this date, my total cost of material and labor to exceeded $4500 which was part of original contract which I was unable to recoup any of my money back. I personally went to Virginia Beach City Inspector Office and they could not find either of these business names as being registered contractors within state of VA. I'm unsure of the actual relationship between
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
and
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
but what I do know is this - I called
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
with TSR which I thought was a reputable company from Angies List.
I would NOT RECOMMEND
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
or
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
(Blue
Virginia Beach Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Provider Name Locked
Builders/TSR) for any type of project.
